While everyone debates whether Drew is shot or not, I seem to remember Kelly getting sacked and having a lot rougher time his last year or two due to the demise of our offensive line. I am not stating this as gospel, so I'd appreciate any attacks being held to a minimum... I am just asking for anyone that has a better memory than me or who might be a "stat" person. I'll just go with attempts+sacks=dropbacks here to give you a rough idea.... JK 1994: 285-448, 3114 yds, 22 TD / 17 INT, 34 sacks - 253 yds lost, 84.62 rating (34 sacks - 482 dropbacks = 1 every 14.2 dropbacks) 1995: 255-458, 3130 yds, 22 TD / 13 INT, 26 sacks - 181 yds lost, 81.14 rating (26 sacks - 484 dropbacks = 1 every 18.6 dropbacks) 1996: 222-379, 2810 yds, 14 TD / 19 INT, 37 sacks - 287 yds lost, 73.21 rating (37 sacks - 416 dropbacks = 1 every 11.2 dropbacks) in comparison, Drew Bledsoe 2004: 99-173, 1210 yds, 6 TD / 7 INT, 24 sacks - 151 yds lost, 73.62 rating (24 sacks - 197 dropbacks = 1 every 8.2 dropbacks) And just for fun...... Heres a stat I would like to point out- these are Drews stat sacks his last 3 years in New England. 105 sacks in 657 attempts= 1 sack every 6.3 attempts. I seem to remember video clips on t.v. where Jimbo is actually yelling at his linemen alot. He still had the arm but he was taking a terrible beating his last few games and readily admits it now.
