I enjoy listening to Bill from time to time but I wouldn't classify myself as a big fan.

Bill has based his whole show on being "straight" with the people and having "no spin" discussions.

If this is true, how can he even think about settling this sexual harrassment case? I totally think he was set up by a money hungry B word, but why settle? If he settles, his credibility is destroyed in my opinion. I'm sure liberals out there already feel he has no credibility but for moderates on either side of the fence he makes good points from time to time and actually backs them up.

If Bill settles this case, the only thing it means is that she has tapes that he doesn't want revealed.

If he is on tape saying some nasty stuff, even if he was set up, he's done. You can't walk around acting all sanctimonious and then have vibrator talks with a producer.

We'll see. This could get interesting. The only way Bill comes out clean is if he fights it totally and wins in court or it gets dropped. Settlement = guilty for him.

At the risk of sounding partisan -- If he actually said all that crap, how is he "set up?" If it's true, he has a real problem -- with his wife, family and self-righteous fans. You don't get "set up" for that behavior, you walk right into it. It obvious all of it is on tape -- he has to settle because it will only get worse if the tapes get aired (though there is a risk it'll still wind up on the internet).

He probably wants to settle just so that it goes away. It's election time and he'd like it out of the way in time for the voting and the inevitable weeks of lawsuits to follow. Why drag it out if you don't have to?

And how can anyone pretend to be upset about his 'behavior'? He talked about a vibrator? So? Is there anyone on this board (especially this board) that wants their entire sexual history and taste in porno made public? Didn't think so. Everyone has their bedroom quirks.

He want's to settle because he know he di what he is accused of and he also is trying to sell his new kids book so this scandel gets in the way.

Yeah, everyone who settles is guilty. Has nothing to do with saving a ton of money by not letting the lawyers drag it out over the years in an unwinnable situation.

It's very easy to say what you'd do in a perfect world, but it's proven that the justice system ain't that.

I don't know if he's guilty and I really don't care.
