Guns N' Roses in talks over US retail store album release

Guns N Roses' long awaited album could be set to be released exclusively through retail stores in the US.

Wal-Mart and Best Buy are thought to be leading talks to secure 'Chinese Democracy's' release.

Guns N Roses are currently managed by Irving Azoff's Front Line Management, and Azoff has consistently released albums through retailers in the US including The Eagles' 'Long Road Out of Eden', which was released through Wal-Mart.

The band are also believed to be in negotiations for a more conventional release of the album worldwide, reports Billboard.

As previously reported on NME.COM the band have already confirmed that a new song, 'Shackler's Revenge' will feature on the forthcoming video game 'Rock Band 2'.

Frontman Axl Rose has been working on 'Chinese Democracy' for the past 14 years.

It ain't GnR without Slash, Izzy, Duff, and Sorum. Now it's just Scrubs n Axl Rose

To some extent yes, but I've seen the new lineup(s) in concert a few times and Axl is what makes them tick...still awesome.

And the bootlegs of the new album are pretty good, so I'll be one of the suckers buying this in a month.
