Now that there’s nearly a full business day for decisions to be made and reporters to seek information before the first pick is made, teams are making decisions about whom they’ll pick — and the folks who thrive on gathering information are getting it out there. And so we now know what the first three picks in the draft will be, thanks to a report from Adam Schefter of NFL Network that the Falcons will select quarterback Matt Ryan, even with defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey expected to still be on the board. It’s likely a business move, not a football move, for a franchise that was decimated by the Mike Vick fiasco. And the arrival of Ryan slams the door on any chance of Vick returning to play football at some point in the future. Unless Ryan ends up in jail, for something like dog fighting.
