Tennessee's DT Justin Harrell.

Recommended Posts

If we don't take a player at #12, then I would love to see us trade back a few slots, pick up aditional pick(s) and take Harrell with our first pick. He'd be a great addition with the rest of our DTs and DEs for years to come.

Trading for extra picks will allow us more chances at LB. We can also take a RB in the 3rd rd if need be. I like this type of player and would like to have him on our team.

I really think we have enougt DTs on the roster. We have much more glaring needs.

Although it seems that we have plenty of DTs we are really not complete at this position. Converting this position from a weakness to a strength would compensate us in other areas of our defense. When you can crush a pocket and stuff the run it would allow us more of a cushion at the linebacker and secondary positions. I don't feel that we are weak at these other positions, it's just that we don't have depth. If we have a monster front D-Line then you'll see a big difference in this defense right away.

I don't disagree at all with you. But I think the staff is happy with who they have and any more DTs - especially after the Walker trade- would be a waste of cap space when we need LBs, an RB, CBs, and possibly a WR.

I actually had a conversation with a friend of mine over drafting a DT early, he was for it, and I said we already have like 5 on the roster, I can't see us drafting a 6th, and his response was classic

" Yeah your right, who needs a defensive tackle with a group like that."

Hope you catch the sarcasm ha

Let me add what I'd like is to keep 5 with a draft pick canceling Tim Anderson out the door. DTs get hurt a lot so I would keep five. Please don't give me the Hargrove can kick inside if needed crap. Just cause he did last season( because McCargo was injured by the way ) doesn't mean he was effective at it. As for Harell, I like him, if he fell to the second round at our pick.
