linksfiend Posted January 27, 2006 Share Posted January 27, 2006 Yeah - I was there twice. Once in '98, once in '03. It has quickly become on par pricewise with the rest of europe. I was there for 2 days/1 night in '98 and I remember paying like $10 night for a decent hotel and under $10 for dinner for 5 people including a few beers. By 2003, it had gone up considerably. My hotel room was @$80-$100 Euro, beer was @$3 Euro. And they started charging admission to all the sights. So it's not such a bargain anymore. But nevertheless, a beautiful city.
