ganesh
If the colts attempt to even make one running play to shorten the kicking range, Mike V makes the field goal and the game goes into OT.....But the COlts under Manning got Cocky and went for the TD on all the 3 downs.... Something eerily similar for the bills..except that we did try to run but the GIants stopped us knowing we would run....

Bear
Unless that "one running play" went into the endzone, it wouldn't have mattered. That kick would have missed from 10 yards out.

Dr. Fong
I was sitting there in disbelief with as much time as they had left and as many time outs that they weren't looking for the first down and then taking a couple of shots at the end zone. They should have run for the first down. Called a TO and then try, at least, to get the ball another 10yds closer or so. Then, knowing teh kick was significantly closer, Vanderjadt would have been much more at ease and made teh kick easily. Bad coaching decision by Indy. 46 yarder is by no means a percentage play. Bad, bad Dungy!

Before the last play we were not close to FG range - Thurman ran 10+ yards on a draw w/ no timeouts. It was a really ballsy playcall. Also, we didn't get our asses kicked for the entire game like the Colts did.
Alaska Darin
They had enough time, with their timeouts, to try and WIN the game in regulation. Not running a play to get that first down on 3rd and 2 was terrible. No way I'd have played for a FG in that game.
stuckincincy
Marvin Lewis & Co. against PGH - 22 rushing attempts. Tony Dungy & Co. against PGH - 14 rushing attempts. Will Mike Shanahan & Co. continue the trend?
Catholic Guilt
You must have heard Peter King say this on the Dan Patrick show on ESPN radio this morning.
jarthur31
Nope. The Edge didn't have the yardage that Thurman did so how is it similar?
