The fact Rex, an anointed and self proclaimed defensive mastermind, took a back to back top 5 defensive and did what he did was telling in itself. 
 

 

Going by that graph it pains to see the wasted talent from Gregg Williams’ last and Mike Mularkey’s first years as head coaches… truly an elite and special defense. Especially how badly the offense was over those 2 seasons.

I didn't say they shut down Cook. In fact, I was shouting at Brady through the TV to run Cook more and throw to him instead of benching him, which is what he did in a baffling display of unilateral disarmament that had me briefly considering whether he was shaving points. No, my point was that based on that game our future opponents could manipulate Brady into putting all his chips on the weakest part of the offensive roster.

This entirely. Made more frustrating by the fact the Bills came out of the half and rammed Cook down their throats on the first drive to make it a 1 score game… and then he only touched the ball 4 more times that game. Painfully self-inflicted stupidity.
