Captain Caveman Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I'm considering bringing a TV to Sunday's game to have on the 4 o clock games - I have apps I can stream from my phone, but I feel like the cell service is usually dreadful (I assume because of the other 70,000 people in such a small area.) Has anyone used an HD Antenna for over the air stuff on Gamedays near the stadium? I just wanted to check in before spending any $ to see if it's likely to work. Quote
Just Jack Posted September 2 Posted September 2 I've never used one at a tailgate, but I've used a cheap basic rabbit ear style one at home that is able to pick up the locals. Might have to play around with position to get the best signal. Quote
cgang Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I purchased a Starlink mini and used it for the first time at the San Fran game last year. I got the idea after reading some college fan postings at Alabama, FSU, and Texas where the tailgating overloads cell service too. Easy to set up and worked great (very little buffering) during that window, cloudy, snowy, icy mess during the day tailgate at Hammer’s. It was like I had my own personal internet service and my group all hooked into it on their phones as well as the tv I brought up. Connected to my Sunday Ticket on YouTube tv and it worked great. $50 a month for the Starlink Sat service and you can also pause your monthly subscription for a fee of $5 a month when you aren’t using it. Highly recommend! Quote
