Was told I couldn’t watch Laugh-In when it premiered, guess it was racy. When I did, I didn’t see it as that. I mean Goldie Hawn in a bikini with flowers painted on her? She paled in comparison to Ginger or Jeannie’s attributes.

 

Anyways, Ruth Buzzi hitting people with a purse went over big. It was a different time. RIP

I remember the first time I saw Ruth Buzzi.  She was in a "magic" act with comedian, Dom Deluise.  He played the magician, Dominic the Great, and she was his assistant Shagugula.  I keep remembering Dom saying "No applause please.  Save until the end."  And Ruth just smiled with this goofy grin.  It was laugh out loud funny!  Next time I saw her was on Laugh In, which we watched as a family every week.
