Instant replay to be tested out in NCAA

The NCAA is going to experiment with the instant replay for the first time in history tomorrow during the Syracuse/Purdue game.

The only problem I have with this is the games already take close to 4 hours to play. This will just slow them down more. Although watching football for 5 hours straight is not a bad thing.

I also see The Orange getting roughed up.

I never understood the time argument. The average game is 3 hours, so if you're going to invest that kind of time to watch, what's another 5-10 minutes to get the calls right?

Of course in the case of the NFL, the refs are still too incompetent to get the calls right in slow motion, so that theory doesn't apply.

Much like communism, it's a good idea in theory though.

The average NFL game is close to 3 hours. NCAA games are closer to 3.75 hours.
