Can anyone vouch for decent timely payouts on Bovada ?

I dont really trust any of those sites.

My buddy cashes out monthly with no issue and if you're any good at poker the competition is pretty soft as well. Plus the tables are anonymous which helps level the playing field.

In for sure to the confidence pool

I play the poker too..but i am part of the competition that you would consider soft LOL!

I usually get payouts twice a year or so from Bovada, put $500 in at start of football and try to make that last throughout the year..like farting around with smaller bets, i play a lot of moneylines, some parlays and teasers but not many.

Payout end of year if anything over $500 still in there...if not my donation to people like your friend on the poker tables

Thanks Narc. 30.00 is life threatening amount to "gamble"

Not exactly a narc,. But the question should be asked to protect SDS, if this is seen as allowing/promoting gambling. If it turns out to be no big deal (with something like FanDuel so "legitimate" you'd expect this would be no problem) then fine. But consider your host before moving forward.

I belong to a poker/gambling forum and there are bets ranging from $5 to six figures and up. Good looking out for SDS but there is no issue.

A narc would be if I said I turned you in which I obviously wouldn't do. If you think there aren't other people reading this that could do that then I think you are being naive. The mods can tell you how many hundreds of "guests" there are on the forum. And yes even betting $1 online could get you in trouble unfortunately. It is what it is, just be careful. Better to do it in person at the tailgate imo

Thanks, I agree just be careful is all. Better not to have a paper trail if there's any question

I'm not sure the stakes matter that much, if someone decides to make a big deal out of it. I've seen poker games busted for chump change, while major stakes games were left untouched. Again, I doubt it's a big deal, just think it should be considered as this isn't "your house".

I got a confidence pool going. $30 for the season. You make 5 picks a week. PM if interested.

Edit: Payment is thru Paypal only.

One more bump-

I will check my PMs at some point tonight and also tomorrow morning and will get the sign up info to anyone else interested so they can pick Sunday's games.

And your experience with these pools is? I am speaking from several years of experience and as someone who has participated in over 100 of them, stop being the fun patrol and take a chill pill. No one is coming after TBD for a small Stakes NFL pool.

It's not your place to make that gamble, that's my point. I'm not the fun poiice. I doubt this is an issue. But for you not to consider what it might mean to the guy who runs the place tells me all I need to know about you.

I fail to see the gamble but sure thing bud.

Is this really that hard to understand? Ask the guy who runs the board if he's okay with it. It doesn't matter if you think it's okay if he's not comfortable with it.

Gents, first thing first here. Running a home based poker game is not illegal, it only becomes illegal when one starts to take a prescribed rake from every hand. And though I am not 100% certain! that is in every state I am almost sure.

That is what this pool would be...a home based game with all proceeds paid back to the player, hence no liability

To take it another step, just because we post "ads" for lack of a better term...on an internet message board , even if it was illegal, this board would have ZERO liability. Please see Backpage and escort ads. I am pretty GD sure prostitution IS illegal in almost every state! but I don't see any cops banging on the door of the Village Voice to shut them down.

Also, I see no mention of 4Chan or Reddit being in any hot water for the recent photos , absolutely an illegal actively.

If he is against it because he is against gambling then I would completely understand, if he is against it because he is worried about getting into trouble then I would want to explain that he is good to go. As I have said previously I have a lot of experience with these types of things and Scott is in the clear in regards to any potential legal issues. If someone can cite a specific case of a board owner being held responsible for a pool ran through his site and facing legal issues because of it please link it. I have looked and found nothing.
