nuklz2594 Posted December 23, 2013 Share Posted December 23, 2013 i remember those days all too well. we may have the best rb tandem in the league. thad lewis while we all root for him...just is not very good. manuel has had a few moments of glory. with the injuries he had this season, it has basically been a wash. any reason why we are not running the ball down everyone's throat? i do not have a problem with a qb being a game manager. hell dilfer has a ring. he got his with a dominant defense, solid running game, and he did not make mistakes. If your passing game is not seen as a relevant threat the opposing defense just stacks the box and shuts down the run game. Defenses are far too athletic these days for an offense to simply rely on only a running game. Yes Dilfer has a ring but that Defense was also beyond dominate. Our D flashed great potential yesterday but otherwise this season they have been suspect against the run and have given up some long third down conversions.
