stevewin Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 Just curious - to those who have some experience with knee braces (in the last century) - how cumbersome/limiting are they? It surprises me that there wouldn't be advances to make these extremely lightweight and not restricting, so that they would in effect be part of an exoskeleton which would protect but not exceedingly limit motion or be uncomfortable (to the extent that skill players could wear them for protection without feeling it limits their mobility/ability). Would love to see EJ wear such things from now on - perhaps augmented by some strategically placed bubble wrap... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
5 Wide Posted October 9, 2013 Share Posted October 9, 2013 I know they have come a long way from the early 90's, but Thurman wore one on his left knee his whole career. He basically didn't have an ACL in his left knee. It didn't seem to limit his mobility much. I think it just takes getting used to. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
