Cool graphic on player salaries

Posted similar last year, here's the update for this year - it's a nifty little visual representation of how teams spend by position and some discussion of individual compositions (like Seattle being able to pay lineman instead of a qb).

It seemed to get interest last year and given some of the debates about roster management in other threads its a fitting graphic for that type of discussion. Not world changing but a cool way to wrap your head around different teams makeup quickly- especially if you are a visual person more than a numbers

Disclaimer: missing Byrd currently but still cool

Great find (!!!) but here's a better link to the interactive website:

Interesting how all the money being spent on our defense is on the front.

Nice. Could be more precise by not lumping positions together but good.

For sure - like I said, not without flaws but as a rough, kinda quick and dirty way to look around the league it's one of the easier things ive seen. Sometimes the wall of numbers when looking at cap websites just turns to a blur after a few players, yet alone teams.

I wouldn't reccomend this for hard precise data but more of a higher level overview before digging in deeper.

Steve Johnson won the 2010 Vizio best value player. No way in hell Russell Wilson didn't win the 2012 award.

And 13 and 14 before he can renegotiate
