He is far from great, but the offense that Marrone and Hackett are putting together is very QB friendly, and will allow Kolb to be reasonably successful when and if he is called upon. I get that neither of them are all that great but: 1) Fitz was gritty, Kolb not so much 2) Fitz was decisive and determined. eball Posted August 20, 2013 Share Posted August 20, 2013 Doesn't matter. This is a rebuilding year. The team is 8 - 8 best best case anyway. Get EJ in there when he is ready physically , not before. Marrone knows that. It's not like Marrone gets fired this year if Kolbpatrick (I love that) comes out 0 - 2 this year, which he probably will. This is hardly true.
