[closed]Buffalo Bills are 2-2

Recommended Posts

So, the Bills are 2-2, no time to panic? One win against the 0-4 Cleveland Browns against a rookie QB... one win against the 1-3 Kansas City Chiefs, Matt Cassel at QB.

The two losses against the Jets (48-28) and Patriots (52-28) who are both division rivals. The Bills didn't just lose to the Patriots / Jets, they were owned, and embarrassed. More specifically the defense just failed to show up big time.

580 yards of offense allowed to the Patriots, 2 100 yard rushers, 2 100 yard receivers. Mark Sanchez threw 3 TD's against the Bills, yea the very same Sanchez who went 13-29 for 103 yards and 1 INT against the 49ers this week. 28 points should be enough offense to win in the NFL, 438 yards of Bills offense against the Patriots, 390 yards of Bills offense against the Jets.

There is no question that this years defense with a healthy Kyle Williams, a 100 million dollar DE in super Mario, another decent pass rusher in Mark Anderson and newly promoted DC Dave Wannstedt the Bills were supposed to have a top 15 defense at the very least. Many people talking that this was supposedly the very best D line in the game. Instead, its the same old can't stop any one or anything

Its sad to say, but it looks as tho as inept as George Edwards was for two years, he managed to do better with less quality players. Last year the Bills were able to put pressure on Brady and get 4 INT's. Even Jauron and his Tampa 2 didn't look this bad against division rivals.

Bottom line, is Wannstedt really this much worse then George Edwards? Or is he purposely tanking the defense to get the HCing job from his old buddy Chan Gailey who hired him?

I don't know what the answer is, I just wonder if Bills fans will need to endure another full year of defensive coaching ineptitude. Somebody on that staff must know how to run a 4-3. Bob Sanders? George Catavolos?
