I was there in 97 and they were still recovering from the years of tyrany under Caocescu's (sp) rule. It was still a 3rd world country at that point in time. But that's funny! I find it hard to believe that it was worse that Iraq or the 'stan. I was in Iraq, that place was brutal but then again you may have gotten out before we went in.
