Kelly the Dog Posted March 16, 2012 Share Posted March 16, 2012 I think Kelly was thinking out loud about what he would do if he was drafting, and then in mid-sentence remembered that Buddy Nix has said 1000 times he doesn't like to trade down. Another thing is, as fans, we like to think about team needs and who is rated high enough to fit that need. In this draft, for instance, there seems to be two LTs behind Kalil who are possible #10 worthy picks, Martin and Reiff. At least one of them is surely going to be there. When we as fans watch the draft, we think this is awesome, we need a LT and we're going to get one of these two guys. But teams have much different ratings than we do. The Bills for instance, may love Reiff at #10 but hate Martin at #10 (and another team may feel exactly the opposite). We just better hope that the guy the Bills like at that position is available. It could be that they like both at 10 and it could be that they don't like either at 10. They are NOT under any circumstances going to take a player at 10 at a position of need just for the need.
