Spun Posted October 8, 2011 Share Posted October 8, 2011 The Ducks are a more physical team but the Sabres are faster. The Kings should be more of a challenge in the winner's bracket. The Ducks outshot the Sabres 11-0 in the third period. What the hell was Kaleta doing on that breakaway? He is known for drawing penalties. So why let up? Draw a hook, trip or penalty shot. Or shoot the damn puck. The Ducks seemed to contain the puck in the Sabres zone for much of the game. But the Sabres protected the slot. Meanwhile, the Sabres were effective fron in close. The self goal by the Ducks and the clank off the Sabres goalpost made the final score look like it wasn't a close game when it was very close. Miller had some nice stops. Gerbe. Fun to watch. I'm glad he is playing for and not against the Sabres. Fear the Gerbe. I wish I got to go see the Sabres play in Europe but I couldn't swing it. I did notice a lot of empty seats in Helsinki.
