Dorkington Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Do we hold him out of the Bengals game or a game against a similarly "low" opponent to let him rest, or do we push him until it causes a problem?
DrDawkinstein Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 none of us know the extent of his injuries, how theyre being treated, or how they are healing up, so it's tough to say. one of the things this team has been missing during the "Dark Decade" were players that would battle through injuries. for years it seemed guys would sit out if they broke a nail. now we have guys who want to be in the game no matter what. if Stevie says he can go, you let him make plays.

That is terrible advice for soft tissue injuries in the groin and hamstring. If the doctor says rest it, you rest it. You can't play through pulls in the legs and be effective. Just can't. And it's easy to create a chronic problem by not resting.

No duh, but up to this point, no doctor has ordered him to rest it or else he'd be out.
