apuszczalowski Posted August 26, 2011 Share Posted August 26, 2011 Have you seen what other WR's, guys who are rated higher then Evans, have gone for in the last couple years? You don't get much these days in trades in the NFL. Evans is good, but he seems to be a better #2 then a #1, and with the Ravens, he is #2 behind Boldin. He also is more of a deep threat, so when he is used he looks good cause its usually a deep pass that ends up in a TD or a big gain. Thats why he looked so good when he had Losman throwing to him and saw his production drop when Edwards and Fitz were starters. He is below average over the middle though, and that seems like the kind of receivers the Bills want, guys who will go over the middle and make the tougher catches and plays. It wasn't the right fit for him here, and the Bills felt that getting a pick for him and sending him to a contender was better in the long run for them and Evans.
