Caroline Panthers a darkhouse for L.A. move?

Recommended Posts

No way the Panthers are remotely interested in relocating. 50,000 season ticket holders paid $15,000.00 dollars each to build the stadium. Corporate sponsorship is still strong despite the results on the field. There's no way in hell that the Carolina Panthers should even be mentioned as a possible candidate for relocation.

Agreed...Some lazy reporter did not do his research before writing this piece of crap. Charlotte is a pretty good up and coming city.

The key to the Bills is the history and the fan base. The NFL knows not to let go off that. I just don't see the Bills going anywhere.

Until I moved here I would have agreed with you, but this just isn't true. There are plenty of nights where both the Dodgers and Lakers have home games and the traffic is just fine (at least in terms of LA standards). A downtown stadium would be well received and well supported -- but the team would have to win. Just like the Clippers -- no one here really supported them until they showed signs of life this year.

This is a huge football town. HUGE. USC, like any national powerhouse, is virtually a professional franchise in terms of how the players are treated and how rabid the fan base is.

Football will succeed in LA without question. That said the safe money is still on the Chargers moving to LA.

I've been to 2 Bills/Raiders games at The Coliseum - there were more Bills fans than Raiders fans. LA doesn't seem to care much about pro football. (Can't say I blame them, what with all the beaches, sunny weather, and thong bikinis.

As for USC, they won't be a powerhouse for long...

NCAA rejects USC's appeal of football sanctions

"The NCAA flatly rejected USC's appeal to reduce sanctions imposed on its storied football program, keeping in place the harshest penalties leveled against a school in a quarter-century.

USC must serve the second year of its two-year postseason ban this fall, making the Trojans ineligible for the first Pac-12 title game or a bowl game. USC also will lose 30 scholarships over the next three years, giving them just 15 available scholarships per season — 10 below the normal yearly limit — until 2015."

Then, there's this...

"Now that the NCAA has denied Southern California’s appeal to reduce sanctions imposed on its football program, Bowl Championship Series officials will consider whether to strip the Trojans of their 2004 title." (link)

Just for the record, Da Raiders moved to LA without league approval, then took the NFL to court. Did the same thing in reverse when Davis got a better offer from Alameda County. But the last laugh is on Davis. He's kept a bevy attorneys busy trying to make Alameda live up to its deal. Meanwhile, the expected "big money" in the Bay Area never materialized. So, essentially, he makes less dough than he did in LA.

Let's not forget how crafty Al fleeced the city of Irwindale out of $10M...

Is Al Davis Planning A Move Back To L.A.?

I thought Caroline already moved to LA to become an actress. I heard she's waiting tables until she gets established.

I believe Caroline Panthers is now a porn star.

I think you're confusing her with the MILF pornstar, Caroline Cougar.

Don't quote me on this but I believe Caroline Panthers is the starlet who's had bit roles in some David Lynch movies… but my friends down there in WeHo say that she waits tables or does catering or something like that.

No, I'm pretty sure I know who all the actresses are in Cougartown - the only Caroline Cougars I know of are members of the Badger Amateur Baseball Association - West Division.

Perhaps you are confusing her with Hungarian porn star Roxy Panthers, who starred in...

That's correct - for now she can't pay the bills, so she lives in a darkhouse.

She's following her dream of becoming an entertainer and an icon.

The Tampa Bay Bucks have to be included in any "move to LA" article. The Glazers own the team, but the stadium is largely owned (as the Glazers own some of the property) by Hills borough County. The Glazers and the County have always had a rough relationship. Coupled with the brothers' financial troubles, the team's attendance, even during their Super Bowl run, was adequate to poor.

I don't think Florida can support three NFL teams. It's either the Jags or Bucks.

The Glazers own the team but the I thought they now owned the Stadium too? The County built it but I believe that in the workings of their original lease agreement, that if the Bucks won the Super Bowl within 5 years of it being built the Stadium would be gifted to the team - or something like that. They won It with Chuckie and I thought they owned the Stadium after that? I know they own the land for parking around the stadium and the offices/training facility is on.

Two or Three of the Glazer children live in LA, and they tried to buy the Dodgers in the past, so its not too far fetched (having no knowledge of the Dodgers stadium, could it be retro fitted to house football games too? or build a new duel purpose stadium perhaps? Assuming the Dodger are up for sale soon). I believe the only siblings living in FL work for the team.
