Leodis McKelvin made a couple really big league plays in the last few minutes of that game.

One was on the 3rd down before the Lions last FG where the Bills went with one high safety and defended the sticks to try and force a stop. Leodis got hung out to dry, singled up with MegaJohnson outside with no help over the top when the Lions had a go called and wanted to attack the endzone on Hill's first read. McKelvin had to convert from attacking the sticks to defending CJohnson downfield with no help after he'd already had his cushion broken. It was a seriously dire situation and Leodis showed fantastic self-control and technique to hustle straight to the only spot where he had any chance to defend the pass. It was a 4 point play late in a game that the Bills won by 2.

Another was on a deep cross, again to Calvin Johnson, where the Lions(with the Bills help) had successfully cleared the middle of the field. McKelvin had to cover an obscene amount of ground without a false step to get to there from here. That is a really looooong way for a corner to go in that coverage and he got to the spot not only on time but in enough command to rip Calvin's basket to pieces.

Leodis isn't The Man quite yet, but legitimately professional plays like that late in tight games show some hair on that boy's chinny chin chin.

I agree, I thought Leo had a great game. This coming one week after he looked absolutely lost against Chicago, it was nice to see.

To your point about the 4th quarter, it's truly amazing...Watch the NFL Red Zone channel and it's incredible how just about every game is within one score in the 2nd half. Typically there is one blowout, and all others are 8 points or less. It comes down to making winning plays in the 4th quarter.
