Dollars to donuts that one of these guys ends up wearing a Bills jersey in TC.

I'm going with DE Derrick Morgan with the #1 pick. It wouldn't surprise me though to see Demaryius Thomas taken if he's still there in round 2.

Georgia Tech underclassmen RB Jonathan Dwyer, S Morgan Burnett, and DE Derrick Morgan held a joint press conference today announcing that they would follow fellow Tech junior WR Demaryius Thomas into the 2010 NFL Draft.

Rounds are based on projections from; Fanball.com Pro Football Draft, Pro Football Weekly Draft Guide, TSN Draft, Pro Football Draft and Pro Football Weekly Draft Preview.

RB Jonathan Dwyer - Projected 1st to 3rd round.

More on Dwyer from TSN War Room;

Bottom line: As expected even before the 2009 college season, Dwyer decided to leave school early. There is little doubt about Dwyer's elite physical talent, but, after playing in Georgia Tech's option offense, he will have to develop the skills required of a pro RB. We love his aggressive and physical running style, which enables him to gain yards after contact and make big plays. While he must learn the nuances of running outside the tackles, the vision and cutting ability he has shown make us confident he can learn how to be productive on outside runs. For Dwyer to become a three-down back, he must compete harder and use better technique in pass protection, and he must improve his route running and hands. Though running backs who played fullback in an option offense usually scare us a ton, Dwyer's rare physical talent, excellent playing strength and exceptional inside running ability make us confident he can do what it will take to become an elite back.

S Morgan Burnett - Projected 2nd to 4th round.

More on Burnett from TSN War Room;

Bottom line: Burnett has the athleticism, speed and explosiveness to test well at the NFL Scouting Combine, but he has a long way to go before he will be a consistent starting safety. He should be able to contribute on special teams while he adjusts to the NFL.

DE Derrick Morgan - Consensus first round. PFW Draft Preview calls him a top 15 pick.

More on Morgan from TSN War Room;

Bottom line: Morgan is a junior who came out early for the 2010 draft. From everything we have seen, he is ready to contribute as a rookie. He is athletic with a rare combination of foot quickness, explosiveness, playing speed, size and playing strength. He could be effective as a defensive end in a 4-3 or 3-4, or as a rush linebacker in a 3-4. Morgan will be a top-15 pick and will become a productive defender, even a Pro Bowler.

WR Demaryius Thomas - Projected 1st or 2nd round.

More on Demaryius Thomas from TSN War Room;

Bottom line: Thomas is a junior who came out early and will be flying up draft boards as teams get the chance to evaluate him. He is a big receiver with outstanding athleticism who shows the ability to make big plays -- it is amazing that a receiver playing in an option offense has been able to average over 24 yards per catch. However, he will need work on his fundamentals -- especially route-running, catching and defense recognition -- after having played in a rudimentary passing attack. Thomas might not be well known now, but by the time the draft arrives his name will be on everyone's lips as one of the top receivers available and a likely top-10 pick. He will eventually become an elite NFL receiver. He reminds us Calvin Johnson with worse hands but better explosiveness and speed.

Four Georgia Tech players going pro

Last week, Georgia Tech junior WR Demaryius Thomas announced his decision to forgo his final season and enter the 2010 NFL draft, and three of his teammates followed suit on Monday afternoon. Joining Thomas in the draft pool will be DE Derrick Thomas, RB Jonathan Dwyer and FS Morgan Burnett.

Highest rated amongst the group is Morgan, a PFW All-American and the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. He tallied 55 tackles, 18½ for loss and 12½ sacks this fall, pushing himself into first-round consideration based on his polished skill set and consistent effort. Though not viewed as elite sack artist, he is considered a relatively safe selection.

Both Dwyer and Thomas also earned first-team All-ACC recognition. Pacing the Yellow Jackets' triple-option, Dwyer toted 235 times for 1,395 yards (5.9-yard average) and 14 touchdowns. He fits the profile of a bruising runner, and could emerge as the top big back available. Meanwhile, Thomas also benefited from head coach Paul Johnson's offense, taking advantage of single coverage and hauling in 46 receptions for 1,154 yards (25.1) and eight touchdowns. A big, thick receiver lacking blazing speed, Thomas projects as a No. 2 receiver at the next level.

Of the four, Burnett stood to benefit most from returning to school. A team captain, he logged 85 tackles, four pass breakups and four interceptions this fall, bringing his career interception total to 14. He is considered a mid-round talent at this time.

I agree that atleast one of these Gailey guys will be in the fold.

Good news is they all look like talented dudes.

I especially think that D. Thomas could be a beast in the NFL. He will not likely be there at 2.09 though. The rumor is the Jets are getting hot for him at the bottom of the first. Plus the Colts and Manning have not been secretive that they want Dez Bryant, also not secretive that they don't want to trade up for him so Thomas would be a good concession prize.

If we land Thomas, it has to be in the 2nd...I don't see him dropping to the 3rd. I wouldn't like us picking a WR in the 2nd...I'd rather have Tebow...

The "experts" say Thomas' route running is terrible. He had a lot of trouble with the route tree. All he ran were hitches and go's for the majority of his college career.
