  1. I like him. He seems down to earth, honest and isn't afraid to speak his mind. His personality reminds me of Polian.

The NFL is full of too many stuffed shirts these days who like to give canned PC answers. They may be "progressive" but there are also boring and phony. Nix is refreshing.

I have no idea how well he'll draft but right now, I am a fan of the man.

I agree, I am ready to give him a chance. Definately better than what we had.

  2. Yes, like we trusted Marv to turn this franchise around.

It is time for the Buffalo Bills and their fans to realize something: While it is great to remember the late 80's early 90's fondly, and honor the greats that played and coached here, they are NOT to be making football decisions for 2010 and beyond.

What experience does JK have as a talent evaluator?

    You sir are a MORON.

JK has played against (and beat, sometimes) the best atheletes the game of football has known for about the last 40 years. I believe he knows just about as good as anyone else if someone can chuck. U **** just sit down and have a warm cup of milk.

  3. If they don't like to hear it, the o-line should open some holes and stop the opponents defensive line from beheading whoever is behind center.

If Trent does not like to hear it, he should grow a pair and learn how to throw the ball 20 yards without being wildly irratic.

If Dick doesn't like to hear it, he should find a way to start getting his team prepared to compete every week, and stand up to the sh*tty front office and tell them to get this team some f**king help.

At this point there should not be one Bills fan on the planet who gives a flying f*ck if they don't want to hear it. Because we sure as hell don't want to see it anyomore.

10-4. And some of this talk blaming the AVP are just BS. I am sure the guy didnt can the OC a week before wk 1 and to go from QB coach to OC is a big jump. I think he gets a pass, especially after the NE game wk 1.

  4. I understand that the impulse is always to hope for wins. But wins, right now, are exactly what we don't need. There's no way the 2009 Bills are going to the playoffs. None. So the only thing a win provides is an excuse to Ralph to stick with Jauron for yet another season, and thereby get out of eating some of that contract. Oh, and a win hurts us in the draft.

One year, the Bills and the Panthers were two of the worst teams in the league. They played each other, and the Bills won! ;) Because of that accursed win, the Bills picked fourth overall. The Panthers picked second. The Panthers used their pick on Julius Peppers. Two spots later, the Bills chose Mike Williams.

I realize that's an extreme example, and that winning won't always hurt you as much as it might imply. But it can! For example, Peyton Manning was chosen first overall in the draft. The second player taken that year? Ryan Leaf!

I'd like nothing better than to see this team go 1-15. :worthy: 1-15 gets us a new head coach, a new offensive and defensive scheme, and probably the first overall pick in the draft. Another 7-9 season might not get us any of those things. Other than affecting the morale of a bunch of players who (in many cases) need to be replaced anyway, what long-term advantage does 7-9 have over 1-15?

Your right - almost. Its rational but Ralph is nothing but. We would have taken M. Williams 2nd and left Peppers.

  5. At the other end of the spectrum, I saw Maybin and Mitchell get held MULTIPLE times last night and nothing was called. The referees can call penalties on almost every play if they want to. It is up to their discretion of when to make the call. They clearly turned their heads to the Patriots offensive line penalties last night.

I saw this crap too. If the REFs want to be tic-tacky on the calls, and they were by calling those BS procedure penalties on Bell, then they should be calling obviouse holding calls. The call on Wilfork did make up some...

  6. How can anyone here predict The Bills will score less than 10 points? Do you have any idea who plays in the Patriots secondary? Are you aware that they'll be playing a 4-3 with an all-but-depleted LB corps? How are they going to stop TO and Evans BOTH?

    Bills - 34

    Pats - 27

But don't take my word for it, listen up as a loyal Pats* fan breaks down just how vulnerable their defense is: Bills and Beers.

That's right, a shameless plug, sure. But if you're going to make "predictions" you should at least know what's going on with the opponent. The Patriots* fan who joins us is very honest about the team's weaknesses.

2006 opener, in New England, Jauron's first game as head coach, no game film on Fairchild's tendencies, JP f-cking Losman at the helm and we almost won (Whitner called out of bounds on a pick return when he was a good foot and a half from the sideline).

We have the same advantage this year with AVP (nobody, and I mean nobody knows what he's going to do), PLUS we're a much better team now, PLUS we're going against a 4-3, something we excel at, historically (8 of last year's 9 losses to 3-4 (the other to Arizona)).

I can't say for sure that we can stop The Pats*, but let's not pretend like they've got this juggernaut defense that will shut US down, that's simply not realistic.

If I'm wrong about this, I will gladly come back and fess up. Until then, face facts, Bills fans!

I am with Big Cat on this one. I bet its close and TO blocks downfield to spring Roscoe for the winner

  7. NFL's Coldest Football Games Ever

    9. Jan. 15, 1994 - Ralph Wilson Stadium - AFC Playoff: Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Raiders - Temperature: 0 degrees / Wind chill: -32 degrees

Hey that should really be 7th...WC was worse

    7. Dec. 10, 1972 - Metropolitan Stadium - Minnesota Vikings vs.Green Bay Packers - Temperature: 0 degrees / Wind chill: -18 degrees

    8. Dec. 26, 1993 - Lambeau Field - Green Bay Packers vs. Los Angeles Raiders - Temperature: 0 degrees

    9. Jan. 15, 1994 - Ralph Wilson Stadium - AFC Playoff: Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Raiders - Temperature: 0 degrees / Wind chill: -32 degrees

I wasnt there - Stationed on a AFB in Florida. No froozen beers...

  8. Mularkey screwed us, he wasnt even around long enough to feel the wrath of a true Bills fans... See Skeletor comments....or ask G. Williams. Good points though - they did lose some close ones and any year sweeping the Fish is a +. Malarkey was a spinless weasel. Long live Skeletor!

  9. he sounds like an idiot. i would rather earn my job than be annointed a starter? i will take a one year one mill contract with the chance of not starting and possibly ruining any chance i have in this league to be an impact player.

check that...he does not sound like an idiot. he is an idiot.

I agree, what a fool. What type of player wouldn't embelish being the starter and a leader. A coward afraid a failure. I really wanted him but after this, glad we didnt. We dont need a *ussy linebacker. Here's hoping Ellison learned and get's better. Atleast he aint a chump.

  10. Wouldn't the Bills be saying the same if they had won the AFC East last year after that 4-0 and 5-1 start ? The Fins are the AFC East champions and until the other three teams dethrone them, the road to the AFC East at this point when everyone is 0-0 does go through Miami.

I agree, AFC chumps Miami. But its gonna be fun to watch Miami go down this year. Last year was then, this year is now. They will be swept...

Last year Miami played above their talent, this year they will realize they will suck, like any good sucker fish.

  11. you couldnt post this in the many other Pettigrew threads?

Who died and left you the thread police? I see one other Pettigrew thread on the entire first page. I say we pick Pettigrew, maybe we can outscore some teams this year, we certainly aint going to stop them with a rookie LB and DE.....
