I think his statements pretty much confirm what seemed to be true already - Michael Vick is an idiot.
Oh, but he has been through sooo much hardship... more than 95% of the world's population. What a douche.
It was self-induced. Nobody forced him to drown dogs in a 5 gallon bucket, electrocute dogs with jumper cables and throw a family dog into a ring of vicious pit bulls just to watch those pitbulls rip that dog to shredds. He was one of the highest paid (if not the highest) QB's in the NFL, endorsement deals, fame...etc, and he screwed it up on his own.

Lets get this straight. Michael Vick did not have to do anything. He chose to endure this through decisions he made. His offender rehab evidently was not very comprehensive. He has no empathy (in this comment) toward his victims - the dogs and fans. It was a thoughtless statement from someone who did not learn the lesson that our justice system desired of him.
I am not looking to string him up for a disembowelment at high noon braveheart style nor am I going to send him a Christmas card. I am simply saying, Michael Vick is another example the rehabilitation system failing. He evidently needed a tougher lesson to learn that he did not have to endure anything. For the same matter, an enlisted soldier in the military chooses to serve his country and does not have to endure anything.
Where has the responsibility gone in our society? According to the Bubba Army, this statement is right in there with the pussification of our country.
(disclaimer: I am a commercial beef farmer and not a crazy fanatical animal lover. I cannot stand PETA, the HSUS or other similar terrorist groups, therefore do not view me as someone attacking him based on an affinity for animals or dogs. While I do love nature, the outdoors and all living things I understand where my food must come from.)
I agree with your post up until the military comment. Please don't compare serving your country to what that piece of sh@t scumbag Vick did.

Losing to the Patriots, 13 times in a row sucks!!!

Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo, Orakpo - I just thought I'd put his name down for every sack he's gotten this season...
Picked - Shoulda picked
Maybin - Orakpo
Lynch - Revis
Whitner - Ngata

The only problem with the poll is that there wasn't a selection that said "All of the Above"

Another game we could have won. I'm just waiting until the offseason, in hopes Ralph cleans house and gets the right people in here.

I agree.......plus, he is a better kick returner than anyone we have on the roster.(i know he fumbled in week one)
Except for McGee. I'm still scratching my head on why McGee isn't taking kick returns anymore (when healthy)?!

So, let's trade our productive problem child for a non-productive, more troublesome scum bag. That makes a lot of sense

Passing wise, Fitz has sucked the last two weeks. Edwards isn't going to get back in the game unless Fitz gets injured. Fewell already stated Brohm will not play because he came aboard mid-season, so Fitz will be our starting QB for the rest of the season. If Fitz keeps stinking it up, I would hope Fewell would be smart enough to make a change.

Besides us, there are a lot of teams that suck this year, a lot more than usual.
Let's just hope we have a competent GM making these draft picks in April. If it's Modrak/Guy/Brandon, we'll continue to pick the wrong guys.
-
On that, my Bills brother, we can all agree.
Go Bills!
-
The Tampon 2 defense does not work for us. 4 years is enough of it.
Once the house cleaning at One Bills Drive happens, I hope a competent GM comes in, brings in the right coaches and changes the defense back to the 3-4. We need 2 monster DT's like when we had Washington/Williams or Williams/Adams. Schobel is playing better, but not enough to warrant the $8.7 million a year. I'd tell him to take a pay cut or trade him. Kelsay & Denney would be gone as well. Defintely need help at the LB position as well.
-
Yes, the P*ts' win sealed it. The Bills cannot catch them (divisional and conference tiebreakers favor them), so there is no mathematical chance at the division. Wild Card is already a lost cause.
I still hope the Bills beat them next Sunday....
I agree. Even though the season has been done with for a while, a victory over the Pats would be a moral victory for us.
Still looking forward to the offseason and hope the house cleaning at One Bills Drive begins then.

My sentiments, exactly.
Give us a real GM, pro personnel department, etc and I will rest easy.
It will take time, but I think progress will be quick.
Agreed!
-
You play to win the game.
I like that Coors commercial with Herm Edwards.
-
I agree with The Chimp, we won but it's nothing to get really excited about.
-
It's was a ugly game, but a win is a win. Let's enjoy this win because this will probably be our last win of the season.
Besides Fitz's runs and block, his passes and decision making sucked today. I hope Brohm gets a shot at some point by the end of the season (doubt it happens though).
-
Ugly win, but a win is a win and I'll take it.
-
Having a good line to be successful in the NFL is nothing new. It has just escaped our decision makers.
You're 100% correct. Their thought process was, you have to have a good secondary to have a successful team, which is why every year our majority of draft picks have been on the secondary

Since it's game day, I'll ask again. If we win today, how many people will still be thinking playoffs, Fewell for HC & Fitz for starting QB?
-
More speculations and guesses by sports reporters.

I'm a college football novice as well. But if the kid can play, especially in the cold snowy weather of Michigan, then he's worth taking a look at.
-
We need to see if he has anything to offer the Bills.
Trent Edwards has looked good at times, but has had the most inexperienced offensive line in the league, and one of the most injured, a change of offensive coordinators right before the season began, and poor coaching throughout his tenure here.
Before we toss him aside, yet another quarterback, we need to see if he has anything.
Some hall of fame quarterbacks, who didn't get their legs completely under them for several years, would have been disgarded if the mentality of some on this board had prevailed.
I agree with your points. The Chargers were ready to move on past Brees after he struggled for 3 seasons when they drafted Rivers. The next season, Brees had a breakout year. But, with T.O. running the team, Fitz will remain the starter.
