I think that there's a 100% chance that Joe will not be able to "show up" for the job.

Literally and figuratively!  Joe is poster boy for dementia; ironically Democrats call for mental health services for those in need, but appear not to see the Democrat most in need right in front of them.

I disagree,  I believe that every word and every tweet is calculated.

I know i know some of it is dumb stuff, but he plays the long game. We may not see it at the time but when you look at what he says in the context of things that happen it becomes clearer.

    Huh?

Hmmmm, BladieBlah doesn't like others scoring political points off of the increase in the NYC crime rate.

If only there were a way to keep people from making a big deal of increasing crime rates?  Perhaps not implementing policies that can easily be predicted to cause crime rates to increase?

    Nah, too easy.

See, now that's just attempting to insert reason into a long-running stupid approach.  Next someone will bring up the old bromide that only criminals commit crimes. Sheeeesh.....

Some of those things were.  It doesn't change the fact that they're racist now.  So you can cling to your statutes of Robert E. Lee, or you can get with the moment and recognize that they subjugate the people you cheer for on Sunday.

And you can delude yourself that the political party that has subjugated black for years offers a path to sunshine if only Joe Biden is elected President and Democrats control the Congress.  It didn't happen when they had control of the government in past years and it won't happen this time either.  Food stamps and cell phones don't lead to a united nation.

    Yes. They released them.

    Yes, they got rich.

Almost everyone in Congress becomes a millionaire. The champ in this category would be the Republican head of the senate.

Yet, Trump the wussie is scared to release his, and you folks think he's a macho man.

Now that Trump’s sole focus is wrapping himself in the flag of American traitors, if you're still supporting him, guess you also support traitors of America and are racist.

    Congratulations on your unveiling.

If he loses and does refuse to leave, you can join him in reviving the Confederacy.

Hey, if you get in line early, you can get your own slaves.

Or, just maybe he figures it's none of our business....  He hasn't released his tax returns, nor have I; and no one really gives a $#!t.

Delaware removes state's last whipping post on public grounds

The last whipping post left in the state of Delaware was removed from the grounds of a courthouse Wednesday after protesters decried the history of racial injustice the post symbolized.

The state-owned post, which was used to flog people as punishment for their crimes until 1952, had been on display outside the Old Sussex County Courthouse for nearly three decades.

It was excavated and removed from the premise and has been placed in storage with other historic artifacts.

“Such relics of the past should be placed in museums to be preserved and protected for those who want to remember the cruel, inhuman, barbarous acts perpetrated on our citizens,” said Reba Hollingsworth, vice-chair of the Delaware Heritage Commission.

To bolster cries for the post to be removed, historians have pointed to the fact that blacks were disproportionately persecuted and punished by whipping and other public humiliation methods.

Something tells me that a number of us wish the whipping post was not mothballed.  Of course, the name of the device would have to be changed, but there might just be a line of people waiting to put it to use given some of the out-of-control folks comng out of hiding [no pun intended].  Naturally [again, no pun intended[, one would have to use ***** willow branches in place of rawhide straps to be as PC as possible.

Do you feel like you can speak honestly about your heartfelt thoughts on race relations without retribution at your workplace or elsewhere?

I do feel I can express my heartfelt thoughts on race relations, but I don't because I recently added race relations to politics and religion on my never-initiate-a-discussion list.  I support preserving our history, warts and all, and celebrating the fact that we've evolved as a nation as we've grown to appreciate and value all people.  So, equal right for ALL, but leave the statues alone, please.

I mean, com'on, do we really tear down the George Washington bridge because he supported practices that were accepted when he was alive?
