  1. In 2009, Lloyd tore both his ACL and MCL. He returned in 2010, but the injury lingered and caused him to miss nine games as a senior.

Lloyd stands at 6’2″ and 260 pounds so I like the size he has. He’s known as a downhill player who can step into a hole and blow it up. Lloyd as known as a heavy hitting guy, and I like that as the Eagles really lack a scary player on defense who can really lay a hit.

Although he does very well at filling holes inside, he fairs pretty well in plays that stretch to the outside. He doesn’t have great open field speed, but he slides well and can make plays that go around the edge.

Lloyd has proven to be a versatile player and it has drawn some speculation as to where he projects in the NFL. He could line up as a larger defensive end, but clearly has the ability to play linebacker.

  2. Fear the Beard, you are right that's exactly what Nix said. and that was utter BS.

The sad part of that was Iwanted very badly to believe him

What was he supposed to say? This team sux and it will be years before we get it straightened out?...Brandon would have had a heart attack.

  3. Basically all of the money and talent went to the defensive side of the ball. On the O, Nix strengthened the Oline and brought in Spiller. Its true that he spent some middle round picks on WR's and attempted to bring in a FA, so Nix is most certainly aware of needs to the offense. Our talent on the offensive side is still pretty low and I think that Nix understood it takes time to get talent (and not only talent but a cohesive unit) on both sides of the ball. I feel that players like Fitz are stop gap, and that because of his ability to understand the plays, but without overwhelming physical skills, he is still the best available until Nix can upgrade that position and WR. I like that fact that we are actually seeing improvement (despite last weeks debacle) and our expectations are high. I think we have finally become at least middle of the pack and not bottom feeders . So finally the point of this is that Nix must trust Gailey to get the best out his offense without the benefit of better than average talent, which seems to be a hallmark of Gailey led teams. Wonder what Chan could do with a better supporting cast?

  4. One thing I remember about Kemp was that he seemed to be unorthodox...on third and 1, even though he had Cookie Gilchrist, he would throw long an inordinate mount of times. Loved that about him. He bounced around alot in the NFL but he was good here. I remember when he went for congress he had had a few bad seasons and the bumper stickers read, "vote Kemp for congress or he'll go back into football". So my long answer is Kemp because he won 2 championships and almost took us to the first superbowl.

  5. According to ESPN we are ranked 24th, which means there are 8 teams below us and we play 4 of them...lol...all is not lost.

We are ranked 21st by CBS.

But this is the best one.

    0-1 BILLS

Chan Gailey says don't hit the panic button. OK. Hit the panic button. Last week in this space, a colleague of mine in this business predicted an 11-5 mark for the 2012 Bills. This week, via random text, he waffled ...

"My prediction did not account for RB F. Jackson (knee), WR D. Nelson (ACL), or R. Fitzpatrick (sucks)."

    Only Bills fans.
