Its reported that Drew Hensen who they signed this week will play second half.
It's Drew Henson; and yes it's reported he'll start the second half... For Detroit. BTW he's awfull, Hamdan owned his ass in Europe.
-
App. Jauron has allready said to ESPN we're going to carry 3 this season.
-
Hamden will play all 4? Or did we pick up a QB with Baker on IR/wavied?
1. It's Hamdan (with an A, funny thing it's spelled wrong on his TV chart as well), check his shirt.
2. No-one was picked up.
3. Apparently Dick Jauron has said before the game we're going to carry 3 QBs and that he wanted to see as much as he could from Hamdan in case he needs to play him in the season.
4. Hamdan looked very good that first drive.
5. UGLY drop for a lost TD by Mayle.
6. WTH wasnt the stadium suppossed to be soldout? NFL Europe games had more people in the stands.
7. O-line looks very shaky.
8. Wright is doing well so far. Edit: eerrr D. Wright 5 8 0 4 nvm lol
-
1. Cut pre-season to 2 games.
2. Reinstate NFL Europe but with 16 teams where each team is provided players by one AFC team and one NFC team, let them play in 4 divisions with division champs playing knockout playoffs, would mean 8 games max for the worldbowl winner. Schedule NFL Europe in such a way that it doesn't interfere with voluneerly camps, otas and tc.

NFL.com actually broadcasts games on their website, but its only available outside the US. I read somewhere that when the deal with directv ends, they will launch something similar here in the states. Prices are high, but it would be worth it to see my Bills while I am here in Texas.
Wow, I thought they stopped doing that; guess I'll have to resub for the season. But they don't stream pre-season games...
Edit: Coverage does not include post-season broadcasts. Anyone know if pre-season is included? If so I'll sub right now else... wellllll
-
Whooohooo, and bah I'm stuck watching a p2p stream, can someone pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase tape the game for me (i'll arrange an upload location/pm/fix shipping details).
Edit: make or break night for the Chroise!

Interesting review of Lucas Oil Stadium.
They are making a drama about quote"Grand said there were also several restroom problems Sunday night, including a women's room toilet that wouldn't flush and a men's room automated towel dispenser that was malfunctioning. He said work had already begun on those issues."... Yes my friends the grand football opening night in the lucas oil stadium was a whopping disaster because one towl dispenser failed to work or broke and one toilet wouldnt flush. I say tear the stadium down and build a new one...

I`m a big Edwards fan ,but it looks to me like Edwards is really hurting. This type of injury could easily be reagravated with another hit. I guess were glad we didn`t trade the bearded one. Lets Go Buffalooooo
Trent was back at full practice yesterday and will be fit to start the season opener.

Coming back to the waived-injured list discussion we had earlier today, Chris Brown says in his daily vid on bb.com that if Baker clears waivers he will be put on IR. I assume this has to do with the Bills beeing responsible for his paycheck for the duration of his injury.
-
$800/week is a LOT more than most of these guys would make out of football. Plus I'm pretty sure they get free room & board in camp.
It's not much for risking career ending injuries plus it's only for a couple of weeks...
-
Nope. Whether it's now or in November, IR means, "Seeya in 2009."
Aye, the 4 week rule was lifted; it's as Lori says.
-
Hey, that is pretty good. Interesting insinuation about the mood in the locker room; I'd be VERY interested to know the source of that, because the players normally stick together on contract issues.
What was that writer's name again? Oh, yeah. This guy.
With all due respect Lori he isnt one to write pieces like this without sources, it's not an opinion piece. It sounds like he sourced it well.

well ok lets see...they have 80 and need to cut 5 to get to 75 by tuesday night right...nothing says they cant cut more than 5 also...Im thinking these guys get called this week:
C.J. Hawthorne WR
Daniel Watts DE
Dustin Fox CB
Derrick Jones DE
Tim Massaquoi TE
then after Thursdays game:
Matt Baker QB
Johnathan Evans FB
Scott Mayle WR
Shaun Nua DE
Corey Mace DE
Copeland Bryan DE
Courtney Anderson TE
Donnie Spraggan LB
William James CB
Dwayne Wright RB
Dustin Dickson OL
Score 2/5... 4/5 if you mix in the thursday cuts, Kennard Cox sure is a surprise cut.
-
Cox will probably be brought back for the PS if no-one picks him up...the only surprise I see is that I didn't realize Baker was hurt...but I'm not sure what the waived injured list is...dose it mean hes cut but injured or??
http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_does_it_mea..._waived_injured
"Waived injured' means the team is releasing the player but the player is injured. The team is responsible to pay the player until his injury has healed. This is usually done by reaching an agreement for a specific amount of money, called an injury settlement. Other teams are allowed to pick up players on the waived injured list but they are forewarned that the player is not in condition to play. Sometimes, if a player on the waived injured list is not selected by another team, the team will retain the player and place him on its injured reserve list."
Not sure if it helps but it basicly says he's cut but injured, the addition of the injured reserve info add's more confusion then being helpfull. I'm surprised to hear Baker broke a rib in the Colts game he didn't look hurt at all.
It certainly raises a question about thursdays game, JP looked like he hurt his thumb again in the Colts game allthough maybe they iced it simply to prevent the swelling he had earlier from returning. Certainly sounds like thursday is going to be Hamdan day.
Edit: KFFL simply lists Baker as released: http://www.kffl.com/player/14914/NFL as reported by our board resident ESPN writer Tim Graham.

I agree that McKelvin hasnt been as impressive as say Corner, but then again our expectations for McKelvin are higher then for Corner. Set aside the "I want my interception too, ow sjit, I misstimed and got burned for 94 yards" he did beautifully defend that deep pass that was intended for the endzone. He may be suffering from having to proof himself.

GILBRAN HAMDAN Two Bills Drive will crash in 3...2...1.
Quick hit your edit button before someone finds out you dont even know how to spell the guys name...
-
sad day for the chroise fans tho if they do place Baker on PS and cut Hamdan
In all fairness if that happens then Hamdan didnt show enough. But as far as my intell goes Baker is that bad, he has actually positively surprised me in his pre-season game performances given what he has done on the practise field.
-
Jenkins will be kept because he is a beast of a gunner on the punt team! If he needs to play reciever then we'll go and sign somebody.
Ouch my bad I kinda overlooked that.... I stand corrected.
-
Who's the rookie? Hamdan is in his 3rd year and Baker is in his 2nd. Do we have a 5th QB the team is hiding from us?
Trent 2nd year
JP 5th year
Hamdan 2nd year
Baker rookie
as per our depth chart: http://www.buffalobills.com/depth_chart/index.html

6. Adam Schefter reports that Jauron and the Bills are negotiating a contract extension. I thought Jauron was signed to a 4 year deal.
Is Eugene Parker his agent? That'd be hilarious a coach holding out...
-
The reason to keep James around is that, other than McGee, he is the only one that can claim to know what he's doing with a straight face.
Which can be easiliy countered with the youngsters eagerness and performance so far. Time will tell.

DJ Fitzpatrick has an awesome part time job. He spends his summers working as a punter in NFL training camp. He's hired every may, and released every august. I wonder what he does the rest of the year?
Lot's of punters are in that situation, Glenn Pakulak (http://www.kffl.com/player/5921/NFL) works in a steelmill whilst camp hopping during summers, he is NFL quality however there is simply not enough need for punters in the NFL.
-
What's my point with this post? It's to stop complaining about prices and just enjoy the Bills while we still have them in Buffalo. And if you think its unfair to lose games to Toronto, then shut up and step up and sell out every single premium seat and luxury box in the less expensive re-furbished RWS first!
Hear, hear, just support your team, spend your money now, save yourself from being heartbroken later.
*. I can't describe how it felt when we lost the Amsterdam Admirals and the NFL Europe to boot. A look on youtube with all the tribute vids should tell you something; you wouldn't even wish that towards the cheatalots.
-
they could be hiding him in hopes to cut him and put him on the practice squad
the more i see of Huggins and Jenkins the more I like though
Not really impressed with Jenkins, couple of drops on sure catches, and a fumble.
