  1. Don't understand why they don't just let McMahon start. They give Joey Harrington 5 million chances and McMahon zero. They don't need Garcia, just let McMahon start if Harrington faulters again this year.
  2. I feel like Driscoll will be back. I think that her daughters death was not a suicide, but rather their is another mole inside CTU. Also, looks like Reines is turning out to be a pretty good guy.
  3. I dont know if anyone caught the 6pm sportscenter, but the only coach and GM they interviewed in regards to Clarret were Mularkey and TD. Can anyone see the bills drafting clarret in the 4th-5th round wherever he will go to back up McGahee? I mean I would say it is ludacris, but then again so was drafting McGahee at the time that they drafted him.
  4. Good Article - didnt realize that he actually competed with Ramsey for time before JP got injured. Wonder what would have happened had he not gotten injured.
  5. From a personal standpoint, I feel like the argument for Drew Bledsoe being a good quarterback is that he is a class act and/or a great guy. Drew Bledsoe always says the right things and admittedly is a very respectable/likable man. It is easy for people to like Drew and thus it is easy for people to root for Drew and say he is good. I feel like many of the die-hard Drew supporters say he is good which is just a translation of liking him as a person. Last time I checked being a class act does not translate into being a good player, which Drew is clearly not. Even the quotes you hear from players, coaches, and management of the bills say he was a class act, and I think that may have factored in to keeping him here that long. You never really here the Bills as an organization or players come out and defend Drews play. The response was always "Drew is our leader, this is a team game, we lost the game as a team". To me, Drew is an extension of Gregg Williams as a player. How many times did we hear TD say Gregg williams was a class A respectable man? However, once again Drew has proven like Gregg did that being likable does not translate into wins. I think people need to make the distinction between being a good football player/coach and being a good person. The two do not go hand in hand.
  6. Jim Kelly - Drew Bledsoe - not the same guy. Great quarterbacks will not be back ups. Average quarterbacks with long tenures that have racked up numbers just because they have been in the league soooo long ala Vinny Testaverdy, Steve Deberg etc. etc. should be backups.
  7. Anyone know why JP left UCLA? Was it because of playing time? Cause if you were UCLA how do you let a first round caliber player leave your school? Any insight would be appreciated
  8. I am graduating college in a year, and most of my freinds from buffalo are graduating this year from RIT, and the only way you could get most of us to come home is for a bills game. Pretty much all of the smart young people are leaving the area which is sad. I think one of the big problems besides the obvious lack of jobs is that the workforce in buffalo is aging. From personal experience as well as freinds experience, as young engineers, as a young person your ideas are often overlooked by the "we have always done it this way approach" that most companies take in buffalo. The company I worked for the average age of the workforce was 46 and all too often I worked with people that were just holding out for retirement. How can companies advance themselves like that? and how could they attract young people to work for them?
  9. I went to Philly this weeekend to see what it would be like in a real football town, and let me tell you I was not that impressed. My good friend is a die hard philly fan, and could name the whole roster. I am a bills fan first and foremost and I can still name 30 players on the philly team. Some of these kids in philly couldnt get passed mcnabb, t.o., and brian dawkins. When i have kids which is still a couple years down the line, I will raise them as bills fans no matter where I live.
  10. To echo what many have said..... Tom Brady is not the most physically gifted QB in the league, but he wins the big games and makes the big throws. How many times have you seen him throw the ball at someone's feet (ala divisional round peyton manning). The guy is amazing. Also, to all the Bledsoe lovers out there. How good was NE when Bledsoe was QB. I believe they were 1-3 when Bledsoe went down under Bellicek. To say Brady is a product of the system is kind of a lie. Why wasnt Bledsoe a product of the system? He couldnt win games in the same system and Bellicek let him go. With all of this said, I hate tom brady and if he suffered a career ending injury in the super bowl, I would be extremely happy
  11. As previously stated, we were coming off a 3-13 year, and while alot of people were excited about Bledsoe coming here, I for one was not. I mean really, what did he do with New England? He had 1-2 good years in which Bill Parcells (IMO the greatest coach ever) utilized his him in a successful way. I mean Parcells made Phil Simms and Vinny Testaverde (with the Jets) look real good. Honestly, did any of us fear Bledsoe as Bills fans when we he played for the pats? I for one did not, he is a monument who has altogether proven that he can't get it done in the big games. I think the mistake was bringing Bledsoe here in the first place. We should have drafted a young QB in the 2002 draft, and brought in a transition guy like a Jeff Blake (who I know was available at that time). WE could have righted the ship until the young QB was ready to play this year or next, and then make our push for the super bowl. With that said, the losing years that bledsoe provided us with do have some good. We were able to get rid of Killdrive, and Gregg Williams (Mr. I have too many excuses), and attain Mike Mularkey who is doing an exceptional job with the entire team. This team reminds me of that Baltimore team of 99 that finished up the season 8-8 after starting something like 2-8, and then winning the super bowl the following year. I think we will make our push next year deep into the playoffs - I just hope bledsoe does not lose it for us, or that JP is ready to take the reins next year and lead us.
