Play to win always. I was a big fan of the Sabres since they started but the tank years have left a bitter taste in my mouth. Haven't been able to watch a full game in the last 2 years. Can't believe I actually can't watch a current game after all those years of enjoying them. They killed my spirit. I do follow the stories and standings but don't attend or watch. Hope it never happens with the Bills.

duh - we already have a QB. Maybe thats why there have been not much talk about QB.

a relief that we may go backwards? Not for me. You are supposed to build on your previous season...not go backwards
That's how I feel too. No more going backwards. We need to get better each and every year. We've all suffered enough.

Sounds to me that Tyrod is retiring due to the concussion injury.

Hacketts offense is so predictable. First down is always that exaggerated handoff from the shotgun with very little gain. He throws away first down every series. Truly hated his playcalling when he was in Buffalo and see that he hasn't changed at all. So happy he's gone.

Review should be done in real time not frame by frame.
Great suggestion - I'm on board with that. If a play requires frame by frame study, the original call should be upheld.
I don't believe for a second that there's any fix in with officials but I do truly believe there is a definite hugh referee bias. NE hardly ever gets routine holding or blocks in the back. It also seems like they get way too many calls in their favor on crucial plays especially drive continuing calls offensively and defensively.

Seemed like he threw a lot of long passes out of bounds or way over the receiver's head. Maybe he did miss Watkins/Goodwin speed.

Lets not forget the occasional penalty which sets us back further.

The key will be to put pressure on Brady. He normally has a good pocket to throw from and plenty of time. If he has time, we'll be dissected early and often and the game will be over quickly. Pressure and aggressiveness is needed. Can we do it? Possible but not very likely. See another cakewalk for the Pats. God forbid we get an early lucky lead, then they'll really kick our butts the whole 2nd half.

Brady and the Cheats have been huge in the drought. Most seasons they have owned both games so to get in the Bills have had to win 10 of the remaining 14 which has been a tall order.
And the Pats have 2 probable wins over the Bills, Jets and Miami to start the season at 6 - 0. Pats then need to go only 4 - 6 to probably be in playoffs.

Well, that really puts it into perspective. Never thought of it that way. Winning 10 of 14 is a big deal.

There is where “the process” lost me. It began with the appearance that it was all about accumulating draft choices. We traded away several big names with the idea of building in the draft. Then the regime begins to do the opposite. We give up a comp pick for average players, and trade away several picks for Benjamin. I don’t have to agree with everything a regime does to appreciate their thought process. However, I become completely lost when there is no consistency to a plan.
I believe it's the same process Tim Murray used with the Sabres

Peterman by far. Lets give him another chance with a full week of practice and decent gameplan. Need to build up his confidence and I think he'll be fine. He throws an accurate ball with a quick release.
I know what Tyrod gives us as a starter and I don't like what I see. Time to move on from him.

No, it's not about "character" anymore....I would like the team to have all decent men who conduct themselves professionally and reasonably both on and off the field, but at this point it's about what Hughes costs the team while IN the game.
If we were to take every positive Hughes play, ala TFL and Sacks, meaning ones that can be measured and not just, "he set the edge but he doesn't get credit" - because those can't be measured - and then added the negative yards he gets for stupid, selfish penalties (not saying yesterday was one of them, not saying it wasn't), what would be the NET yardage afterwards?
I've said before, I don't think Hughes is on the team come 2018, and it's not because he's a bad player, it's because his lack of discipline does not fit the McD and Beane mold. Additionally, what good is getting a sack for negative 7 yards only to give up 15 yards and a first down either one or two downs later or at some crucial point in the game? I don't see the benefit when viewing the game or season as a whole.
Take away all the passion and you're the Sabres.

deliberate attempt to seriously injure a defenseless player...
-
Obviously a cheap hit with intent to injure - period. The fact that he used his elbow brace as a weapon and hit him in the head is atrocious. Should be a big fine and suspension for that move. Worst thing I've seen as White was down and defenseless.

I vote both gone. Such a pitiful offense and tired of a caretaker QB who totally relies on the run game and dump-offs to survive.

I think it is pretty obvious that Trump is rarely right. I am VERY glad that he is not the Bills’ owner. Instead, he is “only” embarrassing our country and putting the world on the verge of extinction via nuclear war...
No - That would be north Korea and Iran...

Replay showed a Pats receiver all alone on the left side

Totally forgot that the Bills lost the pre-season this year. Darn McDermott......

The road to the Superbowl goes through Buffalo - There I said it......

Be honest, if the Bills somehow manage to get a lead in this game, will you have any faith that they will be able to maintain or increase such lead? Beware the 14 point lead - it's the kiss of death.

The game is being played on 12/3....Brady (12) will be handed his third (3) loss. Numerology works.
or Brady (12) will throw three (3) touchdown passes in the 1st qtr. But hope you are right and I'm wrong...

I don't see any way of winning this game unless Brady gets hurt very early on. Then we have a chance, a very slim chance....

Well, to me it looks like a tank move. Time for some suffering.
