I’m so conflicted. I want the Dolphins to B word slap them out of the playoffs, but I’m so dang done with the Dolphins hype.

I want the Pats to win today so the Bills can be the ones to end their playoffs hopes in front of a national audience next week.

I agree. I guess Gannon said that Hebert was out of the pocket and so White was able to hit him low. I didn’t realize that was the rule.

Once the QB bails out of the pocket he no longer has protection with that low tackle rule.

Herbert was out of the pocket.  Had he been in the pocket that would have been a Personal Foul on White.

Hard games ahead, but it's a good test for the playoff spotlight.

After this week the Bills last 6 includes 4 teams that - currently - have losing records.

Thats a far cry from their first 10 games where 7 teams - currently - have winning records.

It doesn’t mean they can’t drop a game to the likes of the chargers or Broncos but the remaining schedule is easier than what we’ve faced so far.

KC wouldn't have held the ball so long if the offense could stay on the field. That game was on offense not defense. The plan was stop KC scoring big. It worked. You might not have enjoyed it, but it worked. The offense sucked. Could the defense have made a couple of extra plays here and there? Sure. But they were not the reason we lost. And with the health of our defense at that point and the opponent if we'd have tried to play the way we did this past Sunday KC might have put up 50. We lost to KC on offense. Simple as that.

The plan was good, the execution was not. Even though they gave KC light boxes and enticed them to run they still didn’t have to get gashed as badly as they did and could have gotten off the filed on the occasional 3rd down.

I agree, I liked the plan though D execution and O struggles made it look worse than it was.

There is this notion on WGR that if your throwing it means you’re aggressive.

Jeremy White just said this coaching staff trusts Allen more than anyone.

I think the opposite. I think last year was the start of how this coaching staff wants to manage and structure the offense. Shorter throws, quicker releases, WRs that win off the line.

Last year a constant theme on the radio was Allen is going to break out the deep ball at any minute, and they mentioned it again this morning.

There is no deep ball. It’s high percentage passes. An occasional intermediate throw.

They have put a structured offense around Allen, that has more passing in it then we have been accustomed to in ours years of socially conditioning to accept a run-first offense. So it looks much more aggressive. But they know Allen isn’t a sandlot QB in this league. He’s not going to play that way. Heaving passes 50 yards down the field.

Miami plays predominantly man coverage and they have one of the best man v man WRs in the league in Diggs. I agree that most of their passing  offense will be as you say but I have little doubt they’ll take a few shots downfield as well.

I know that completion % is one of the key metrics to measure QB play, but I really don’t care if Josh finishes with 58.8% or 61.3%.  The metric that matters is wins and loses.  Why do they never point out how clutch he is late in games bringing his team back to win?  Do they watch the Bills enough to know that Allen never takes the easy 5 yard completion on 3rd and 10 to pad his stats, but will instead try to complete a harder pass that will actually keep the drive alive?  Do they mention he was eighth in the League in rushing TDs last season?  How valuable is that ability?  Do they talk about his intense desire to win typified by him jumping into a scrum and picking up a fumbled snap in Dallas and out muscling the entire Dallas D-line to convert a critical 4th down?

At the end of the day, does Allen do more to win games for this team than he does to lose them?  I think the answer is clearly yes.  Pointing out completion % is just more lazy reporting from national sports writers who don’t watch Allen play enough to have an informed opinion and just fall back on the widely accepted narrative on Allen.

What matters is how much help does a QB need to consistently put his team in a position to win the Super Bowl. Does he consistently need a top 5 roster to have a small chance or can he put the team on his back and, given a good roster, give his team a legit chance year in and year out. Once a QB gets out of their rookie deal having a top tier roster on a consistent basis is nearly impossible.

That's fine, but the question of whether or not they will scrimmage is what brought this discussion into it, and then somebody made a dumbass comment.

I spent all night and this morning reading stroy after story about whats going on, I came here to get a break from that. Because people dont want that discussed on a football message board does not mean we’re ignoring the issue or don’t support the players. It means our brains need a healthy break every now and then so we’re not just feeling rage/sadness/hopelessness 24/7.
