  1. I'm in for the J E T S, jets, jets, jest! I live in MA with all the M!@#$s. If the Pats* win the division after losing Brady and having a QB who hasn't played since high school replace him, well it would be unbearable. You think Pats* fans are bad now wait and see what happens if they win the division. If they make the playoffs I say they could go far. Bill Belicheat does not lose the second time around against an opponent. He will be playing Colts and Steelers a second time and I don't see them losing those games. The jest will be lucky if they make it past the first round of playoffs (They just lost to the 49'rs remember)

I can't pick Miami because they are just hated rival's of the Bills. I could watch them go 1-15 every year for the rest of my life and die a happy man.

  2. Funny this post started. Just the other day I received a phone call from the Buffalo Bills ticket office and they wanted to know if I was happy with my seats and was there anything they could do to make my game day more pleasant. I jokingly told the girl they could start winning some games. She said I know as if she had heard a bunch of responses like mine only worse. I felt bad for her having to call irate season ticket holders and ask them are they happy with their game day experience.

  3. That's the difference between a playoff bound team and the Buffalo Bills stay at home and eat popcorn in January players. They play with heart and they may draw penalties but I bet Wes isn't so bold going across the middle as he use to be. Intimidation it's what this game is about. It's what the Bill don't have.

And that starts with the coach. DICK

  4. Really

I work down here, and I staff new jobs from Port Charlotte

    I can't even hire you at $8.

    Sorry, no jobs

Finding work in FL has always been tough. I have family that live in the Bradenton/Sarasota area and I remember going for a visit years back and I would see people on the streets holding signs reading "work for food", that's bad. The last time I was there about 3 years ago the area was in the mitts of a housing boom developers were stripping farm land and building 500 - 1000 homes at a time and no one had a hard time finding work. I'm sure it is back to what it uses to be.

But let me make one point. Everything is relative, FL has a large retirement population and that population lives on a fixed income and they spend their money wisely. They are a service oriented society. Lets face it retirees are not manning the assembly lines at any manufacturing plant (thank god. I've seen them drive in FL) they are consuming good that enrich their lives. Service jobs require less experience and there for less pay. Anyone can take an order or ring a register. That's why your average hourly wage is so low. Also it does not cost as much to live in FL as it does in other parts of the country. Do you notice how you can go out for dinner at 4 PM and get a steak meal for $6.00 but if you go after 4 PM you will pay full price $11 - $12 for a steak meal. Do you think that steak cost the own of that restaurant less at 4 PM than 6 PM. No he needs to keep customers coming in all day so he adjusts his price to entice people to come in for dinner at those off hours. And yet I see plenty of restaurants and drug stores and grocery stores in FL. How can they all stay in business? They adapt and offer their customers the things they need at a price they can live with.

P.S. Sorry about the economic rambling, but when I hear people talk about bail out and protectionism I feel they just do not want to work or do what it takes to make a living. I have a great deal of respect for my elders they know what it means to really work for a living and I'm sure if our generation had the same work ethics that our parents or grand parents did we would not be talking about bail outs or stimulus programs but how well our Buffalo Bills are doing or not doing.

  5. Unions??? The real problem is unabated greed within the Executive class. How can you blame unions for fighting to make a living wage when the CEO of Ford made 21.7 million dollars last year.

The US government should bail out the auto industry and use the bail out to force the companies to change their business models, starting with executive pay.

Spoken like a true communist. We live in a free market society and if you’re smart enough and ambitious enough you will earn a lot of money. If you can't perform your job then you will be shown the door and that is the way it should be. We do not need parity in our society where everyone earns the same no matter what you do, that would stifiel creativity and inovation and makes us another Russia. I do not believe the government should bail out any private industries no matter how many people they employ.

  6. I don't think it was running up the score at all. If you sub your starters and you get a pick for six or good field position for KC then you give them momentum and what should have been an easy game turns into a dog fight. I think we all know who wins that dog fight (hint their name is not Buffalo).

P.S. I was rooting for Dick to break the team record of 57 points. But I'm happy with a win.

  7. I thought the O line played well last night. They gave Trent all the time he needed and they opened some holes for Marshawn & Freddy. The defense played very good as well. I know they didn't sack Brady Quinn but think about all the injury to our secondary and look at how few 3rd down conversions the Browns made last night and I don't think anyone can complain. I agree that Trent looked bad you can't turn the ball over four times and expect to win a game in the NFL. Even against a bad team. As far as the coaching staff I don't disagree with running the ball 3 times at the end of the game because if you throw a pick (and the way Trent was playing last night it would have been a good possibility) game over. At least you’re putting your game in the hands of your kicker who has been good up until last night. There is no reason this game should have been close I don't know what the problem is? Maybe too conservative play calling maybe Trent has no confidence in his receivers or line or maybe he is just missing his best receiver (Josh Reed). Think how good we were with Reed in the game, all the short routes across the middle and YAC.

I think this young team can't handle pressure and once it becomes evident they will not make the playoffs you'll see a more relaxed team and better playing.

  8. I'm not sure who I want to win tonight. I hate the Pats* with a passion but I think we could win our next game against the Jest so I would rather have them beat the Pats*. It's just plain sad that I have to resort to hoping one team loses so we have a better chance later on down the road. I thought this year would be different.

Oh well I'm a Bills fan. :wallbash:

  9. The divisional games might not kill us. If we finish 10-6, we just need one AFC East team to finish 9-7 or worse. I could see a scenario where New England* wins the division at 11-5, the Bills and Jets are the two AFC Wildcards at 10-6, and the Dolphins miss out.

That means we have to beat the Fins next time around. If we were playing at the Ralph I would check it as a win but this will be like an away game (Toronto).

  10. I don't think Buffalo wins any of those games.

I think the Bills win Monday night against the Browns because they are at the Ralph and it's Monday Night. Kansas City just plain sucks and the 49's travel to the east coast which we all know what happens to west coast teams travel east. The Jets at the Medow lands will be hard but I think they look past us because of our play 2 weeks ago. Like I said in my original post I do not think the Bills can beat the Bronco's at Mile High even though their defense is suspect.

  11. Let's look at the schedule:

    Cleveland - W

    Chiefs - W

    49's - W

    Miami - L

    Jets - W

    Bronco - W

    Pats* - L

If our wins and losses are like above we would not make the playoffs due to division losses. I think the Pats* will win the division the Jets would have a better division record then ours and some of the teams in weaker divisions will probably have a better record than the Bills.

P.S. I don't even believe the win vs loss record I posted above, I think we lose to the Bronco's at Mile High.

  12. Please. And it's not anywhere near half. Good god - did you see the Pats whining about missing their MVP QB or resorting to their 4th string running back or DB's? Give me a friggin' break. Who was so damn valuable for us that was out today? Schobel? Whitner? Butler? Reed? Again, please.

Reed not being able to play has hurt our offense a lot. He is our Wes Welker, he runs good routes and has sure hands. plus picks up yards after catch.

  13. I would have liked a win today but expected a loss. What I didn't expect was our team coming out and playing like this was just another game and not a division team. Also a team we have not beaten since 2000. People talk about the Miami Dolphins and the 10 years of no wins, well the Pats* will be our Dolphins this decade.
