1. Good work, MikeH!

Nice story on Robert Holt, too.

Isn't that the same draft where Bills got "FWB" (fastest white boy) WR Mike Moseley?

Thanks ... and you are correct about Mosley.

    The 1981 Buffalo Bills Draft:

1 Booker Moore Penn State RB

2 Chris Williams Louisiana State DB

    2 Byron Franklin Auburn WR

3 Mike Mosley Texas A&M WR

3 Robert Geathers South Carolina State DT

    5 Calvin Clark Purdue DE

    6 Robert Holt Baylor WR

7 Steve Doolittle Colorado State LB

9 Rob Riddick Millersville (PA) RB

10 Justin Cross Western Colorado T

11 Buster Barnett Jackson State TE

12 Keith Clark Memphis State LB

  2. Who was the corner we had in the 1980's nicknamed "RADAR"? I don't remember his name and it's been bugging me.

Someone help me out here. Thanks.

The only guy that I remember with the nickname of Radar, was Robert "Radar" Holt. He was a WR not a CB ... he was with us in the early 80's.

HERE is some information on him. He went to Baylor and was our 6th round draft pick in 1981

  3. if they win another game I'm a gunna be pissed if they put then in as a Sabres Record. Well maybe pissed is a to strong a word. I just do not think and Shoot wins should count. Lordy, I hate that friggen concept. But guess what, no shootouts (at least for now) in the playoffs.

    660752

I agree with what you are saying. I think that shootout wins should be listed in a seperate category in the standings. Winning via a shootout is not the same as winning on the ice.

It pisses me off that the Ranger fans around here keep saying that we split the season series. We won both of our games on the ice and they won both of theirs in a shootout. In my mind they never beat us this season. Also, we collected 6 out of a possible 8 points against them ... They only got 4. We kicked the Rangers asses this season and anyone who doesn't see it that way is just plain ignorant. This will be proven if we meet up in the playoffs when all games are decided on the ice ... as they should be.

  4. Can someone post the schedule here (copy, paste) I cannot get to this link.  Much appreciated  :o

  5. I don't have time to sit and watch NFL network for two hours to get the schedule.  I assume it will be on here around 4pm?

    651877

The schedule usually leaks out early ... It'll probably be posted before the 2pm release.

  6. I posted this last week in another topic, but, I'll repeat it here for those who missed it :

With the NFL already announcing 5 of the opening week games, it has really shortened the list of possible opening day opponents for us. It looks like we are left with the following choices:

Home : Pats, Jets, Packers or Titans

Away : Pats, Texans, Bears, Lions or Ravens.

I'm not listing the Jets as an away possibility because, the Giants are home that night, and they won't schedule a day+night game in the Meadowlands on the same day.

I don't think they will open at the Lions because we play them in the last preseason game. Also, I don't think we will open at the Texans because we opened with them last year.

  7. So, far, I only know they won't open in Miami. Seven other possibilities exist for road starts.

    646510

Not true. They also can't open in Indy, or at the Jets because the Giants are home that night ... no day/night game in the Meadowlands. The only possible choices are :

Home : Pats, Jets, Packers or Titans

Away : Pats, Texans, Bears, Lions or Ravens.

It's unlikely they will open at the Lions because we play them in the final preseason game, or at the Texans because we opened with them last year.

  8. Good work.  I'll assume it's a home game as it usually is.  Pats are unlikely cause the league would want them to play a better team on opening day.  We've hosted the Jets opening day a lot it seems like...

I would say Packers & Titans are the 2 most likely.

Also, there's a 90% chance Don Criqui and his 7th string partner will do the Titans game whenever that is, so that might be a good game to go to.

    645603

Thanks. I agree that the Packers or Titans are the most likely choices for a home opener. I think that the Jets and Pats may face each other in week one ... Mangini goes home to take on his old team. For that same reason, I think Clements22 could be right about the Jauron returning to Chicago prediction. Scribo has a good point about eliminating the Texans. Also, I don't think we will open at the Lions because we play them in the last preseason game. If we put all of these assumptions together, we are left with the following possibilities :

    Home : Packers or Titans

    Away : Bears or Ravens.

The list gets shorter ... any more predictions?

  10. Do you guys have any idea about that song they talked about in the very beginning of the show? I think they said the name of it was 'If', and it was sung during Hollywood week by the guy who sang first tonight.....Patrick?

    609188

Maybe they were talking about that song from the 70's by Bread ... If a picture paints a thousand words....
