The NFL Network TV Schedule now shows "Game of the Week" for 4pm on 4/5. I looked ahead in the listings and didn't see the Schedule Release show posted. At least we know that 4/19 is the latest it will be released.
-
Which means it's also available in HD for DirecTV viewers
It's also available in HD for Cable viewers ... I know it is on Comcast anyway.
-
I was just watching NFL Total Access and Adam Schefter said that the release of the schedule will probably be postponed until at least next week. He also said that the latest it will be released is on 4/19. The link to the NFL Network TV schedule still says 4/5 ... I guess we'll just wait and see.
HERE is a link that backs this up. Scroll down to where it says "On the Schedule".
-
Any info as to WHY?
Schefter said the main issue was finalizing the package of games that each of the networks get.
The ESPN link now shows TBD progamming for 2pm on 4/5.
The NFL Network link still shows the Schedule release at 4pm.

Yes, he was. And the reason was his 2.68 yards per carry in the preseason last year.
Wasn't he the kid who scored that touchdown after getting flipped over in the air at the goal line? I think it was against Carolina in the first game. I'm not saying he was any good, but that was pretty cool to watch.

Checking NFL Networks schedule for that day, they show the "Schedule Release" show starting at 2:30pm.
It looks like the show has been moved to 4:00 pm.
It also says that this is the Exclusive Unveiling of the Schedule ... I guess the ESPN show at 2:00 pm is not happening?

the wife and i watch it faithfully. have not watched last night's episode (have it tivo'd), but the wife says i'll be impressed.
Totally agree .... It's one of the few shows my wife and I watch together and both enjoy.

Penn State has certainly had their share of first round busts. There's no arguing that. Thing is, just about every school has had first round busts. While the players both you and I have mentioned have been considered busts in the past for Penn State, here's a few players who really don't meet that criteria:
From 1996:
23 Jeff Hartings Lions Guard Penn State
30 Andre Johnson Redskins Offensive tackle Penn State
From 1995:
5 Kerry Collins Panthers Quarterback Penn State
9 Kyle Brady Jets Tight end Penn State
From 1993:
25 O.J. McDuffie Dolphins Wide receiver Penn State
From 1987:
8 Shane Conlan Bills Linebacker Penn State
From 1983:
3 Curt Warner Seahawks Running back Penn State
From 1982:
8 Mike Munchak Oilers Guard Penn State
From 1972:
13 Franco Harris Steelers Running back Penn State
These players have had careers that go from pretty good (McDuffie was quite the 3rd down receiver in Miami) to very good (Franco and Munchak are Hall of Famers).
All were taken in the first round of the draft.
Nice job with the homework. There are a few on the list I would consider questionable, but I think I've already made my point.

great, now i gotta google grundle
I was just gonna say the same thing.

Actually, suckers are made in manufacturing plants out of organic materials and are not "born" out of a womb or other animal reproductive process that involves the combining of male and female reproductive cells. It is a common misconception, however.
Who's trying to save face now?

Fixed.
A sucker is born everyday.

cept me, i knew what you was up to the hole time

Thanks ... It's great to be the King!

Man ... you clowns really are gullible.

I am going to custom order a MikeH jersey at the NFL shop. Then burn it.
As long as you're in the jersey at the time, I'd like to see it.
-
Innocent??? I guess signing up and paying money to attend a proud Buffalo basher's speed came isn't enough to burn alive these days. Boy did I grow up in the wrong time period.
Plus, if Beebe is as fast as he says he is, they won't ALL burn.
Real tough guy sitting behind the keyboard. Grow up in the wrong time period? How about you never grew up at all pisspot.
-
Here is the plan. I want all of you to gather up your Don Beebe jerseys and meet me in Illinois at Don Beebe's House of Speed camp. I decided that the best way to get him back for this injustice is to kidnap the kids at the camp, tie them up with gasoline soaked Don Beebe jerseys and then light them on fire!!!! Then we'll see just how fast Mr. Cheesehead Beebe is!! Don't let him get away with this!!!
Let me get this straight ... You're pissed at Don Beebe so you want to light innocent kids on fire? Who's the **** here?
-
Yeah. I refuse to call the murderous ex player anything else. I heard the verdict too; best justice money can buy. You do realize that Mr Cochran also defended another "innocent" person named Michael Jackson, right?
No, I'm not calling TMEP a bust. I'm just applying your logic in regards to character to the argument. So, had TMEP not had a hall of fame career and would've just been an average guy, he'd still be a bust because of the character issues.
Instead of using TMEP, let's use Travis Henry, who has had a decent career, though nothing special. He's also had some character issues (something 'bout underage girls comes to mind). Considering his issues, and the fact that he hasn't set the league on fire, would you consider him a bust too?
When OJ was playing I believe he was considered to be a good teammate and I don't remember his character ever being questioned. Whatever happens(or didn't in this case) after your career is over doesn't matter to me. I only care about what happens while you're playing for my team. As far as Henry goes, he shouldn't be mentioned here. I was referring to the multiple FIRST round busts that have come out of PSU aka "First Round Bust U". Henry doesn't fit in this category.
-
High character players don't also nearly behead people. So, by that logic, if TMEP had just had a couple 1,000 yard rushing seasons and never would've had the 2,000 yard season, he'd be a "bust" too, huh?
I'm assuming TMEP means OJ? I don't know what that has to do with this discussion, but, the last I heard, the verdict on him was NOT Guilty. Calling OJ a bust is just being ignorant.
-
Character issues? Like what? Not getting along with Gregg Williams (yet getting along just fine with Marty S)?
He was a helluva player for a handful of seasons, and as I say above, injuries don't count toward bustdom.
It wasn't that he didn't get along with Williams ... he refused to play in his system. I'd say that is being a selfish player/teammate. When you don't take care of your assignments, you hurt everyone else on the unit. High character players don't do that.

a bust is someone who did absolutely nothing @ the next level. Arrington doesn't meet that criteria.
For being picked as high as he was, he definitely hasn't lived up to expectations. His character issues put him in the "Bust" category as far as I'm concerned.

What was up with that kid who had the F'd up looking hair? I think they said his name was Sangaya? The last part of that name sounds about right. If that is what an American Idol looks like ... no thanks!
