Ummm, i forgot to add [/sarcasm] on the end of my post.
Guess there goes my upbringing.
There's something else you forgot ... Hint: RMPL.

I ain't your son, troll, that's for damn sure
So you're saying that you may not have been raised properly?
-
Tune up your sarcasm meter, troll.
The meter is still running son.

According to the media guide, there has never been a player named Bannister on the team. You aren't thinking of Justin Bannan, are you?
Bannister never played for the Bills, but he was brought in for a look a few years back when he played for Seattle. He may have been a RFA at the time? I remember him being very fast ... maybe they are looking at him as a gunner to replace Davis?
HERE is a link to billsdaily.com from 2004 that talks about his visit then.

I'm just wondering...do you hit them if they don't actually sing the National Anthem?
What do you do if they sing off-key? Give them a wedgie?
You mean if they sing out of tune? Well, I "tune them up" of course.
-
I just wonder if he waits until the second verse before he starts throwing punches...I'd like to know so I can raise my future kids "properly."
No, I like to take care of it as quick as possible. Sometimes when I'm really quick, I can get in a noogie or two before the guy knows what hit him .... good times! Once again ... God Bless America!!!
-
He's RESPECTING HIS FLAG AND COUNTRY DAMNIT!
Thank You .... I can see you were raised properly.
-
Please don't have kids.
To late ... there are a couple more just like me out there ... God Bless America!!!
-
Teaching a kid to forcibly remove someone else's hat during the National Anthem is raising them properly
I agree
-
So you think forcing others to do something shows respect of any kind by the person you are forcing? Do you understand the nature of respect? That it is something that must be freely given by a person towards another person, institution, country, God, etc.?
The only thing that is shown by forcing someone to take off their hat is disrespect of another human being's autonomy, however distasteful you, others, or myself might find it. So how does that breed respect for flag and country in other people?
I'll add you to the "not raised properly" category.
-
To answer the questions asked above:
Do you remove your hat during the National Anthem? YES
If you were at a game with friends and they didn't remove their hat would you instruct them to do so? YES
If you were at a game and saw a stranger that had their hat on, would you ask them to remove it? YES
If you were at a game and saw a stranger that had their hat on, would you tell them to remove it? YES, if they didn't do it when I asked them to.
If they still refuse, it will be removed for them.
To sum things up:
Removing your hat during the National Anthem is mandatory.
Anyone who thinks otherwise, was not raised properly.

Did ya happen to catch the Police there in 80? Would have cool.
Anyway, taking this thread dwon memory lane, who remembers Talus? Found this about Stage One on a website. Holy Chit, U2 opened for Talus at stage one...wow
Brothers Danny & Rocco Oliverio on drums at the Poor House East in Williamsville, NY. Years later it would be a showcase room called Stage One. Groups such as U2, The Police, The Ramones, Aerosmith, Judas Priest and more would play there. U2 actually opened for Talas when they first came to America.
Talas was my favorite local band ... saw them 100's of times. I still have the albums they released back then. They played at Stage 1 tons of times. I also remember seeing them at the Barrel Head in West Seneca, He + Shes in Tonawanda and many other places around the area.

Had to post some of what I found researching on the net. Most prolly know this, but Harvey from Harvey and Corkys was Harvey Weinstein, he of Merimax films fame. I had no idea!
Second, trying to find the date of that Police show, the one in 79 was at Stage One. Was anyone else there?
But, looking at some Police notes, they started their first World Tour in Buffalo in 80( wow, the Police in Buffalo two times inside a year) and they have it listed at Clarks Gym at State University of NY. Was that venue at UB? If so, never heard of it or attended any concerts there. Anybody? Bueller?
I remember going to concerts at Buff. State around that time. I saw the Pretenders there and many others(I'm just having trouble remembering them right now). I'm not sure if it was called Clarks Gym.

I'm planning a trip for the MN game. Should I even bother trying to get 10 tickets? Pick another game?
Opinions?
Thanks
Group tickets go on sale before individual tickets do. I think if you buy 10 or more you can buy via the group sales department.

That's the thing. I'm busy tonight. Visiting my family!
I hate when that happens.

Okay, another question for you forty somethins out there?
What was the name of the club that one of the promoters owned out by the airport I think.
I saw three great shows there
1) The Police in 80 0r 81
2) Aerosmith--under the name of Dr J and the All Stars i think(BTW,hateAerosmith, just cool to see them in a club setting)
3) Al Dimeola(sp)- John McGlaughlin- Paco deLuccia(sp)
I can picture the place, it was a yellow building but cannot remeber the name for the life of me!
Harvey and Corkys Stage 1
Aerosmith played under the name of Dr. J Jones and the Interns

Look at the post above yours ... you can watch it on comcast.net.

Pfff, anybody who thinks Bledsoe's career was "mediocre" is an absolute fool,14 year vet, top 10 in three major passing categories, 4 pro bowls, trip to a superbowl, if that's mediocre, how good to you have to be to have a "good" career? He had his faults, like anyone, and they were exposed far more often late in his career. A nice guy(Who I've met), and a good player, hall of famer? Doubtful, but, he's got nothing to feel bad about. I'll miss ol' Drew
I agree with everything in your post except for the Doubtful comment on the HOF. I think it's very Probable he will make it in.

For those who don't have access to the game on TV, it will be show on comcast.net.
