If I'm going to make the case that justice should apply equally, regardless of station, I'm not using this case as my north star. We already live in a world where that patently isn't true, and it's also likely a HUGE part into why we don't have all the facts. His status as a big time athlete and a college that worked with a police department to bury a lead is the exact type of injustice you should be railing against. He's not the victim here.
So now you are accusing the college and the police of committing crimes. Should they all be fired immediately as well and then rehired if their innocence is proven? Seems like folks accused of a crime need to be fired immediately from their job

Colin never does things like that so he was really in the moment and liking Josh Allen.
He admitted how wrong he was many times though so you can say that about him. I don't think anyone expected Josh to be MVP #2 in his 3rd year.
Well he flip flops back and forth week to week. He changed his opinion on josh almost weekly this season

Let's take this a little further.
The Chiefs have been averaging 32 ppg scored. They've put up > 30 points in 5 of their 8 games (including the one they lost).
They scored 26 points on us, which isn't lockdown D but the point is - we held them to less than their average score.
The Chiefs have been averaging 19 ppg given up. We did a little bit worse than that, scoring 17. But it's not like they've been letting everyone else run wild on them but held us low. 3 of their other opponents showed fewer.
I agree, we are good, but not great. We have had a rash of injuries to contend with. And McDermott stresses a culture of learning and growing.
I'm kind of surprised at how many here are willing to roll over and show the Seasnakes our throats.
The only reason the chiefs didn't torch us is because they ran the ball down our throats in bad weather instead of throwing it. Had they thrown it, they would have scored faster and probably put 40 points on the board

At some point people have to stop worrying about the other teams because we are good enough to beat them. There isnt but maybe two teams in the AFC that I worry about matching up against, and the Patriots are not one of them (Even with Dalton or Cam). Now Rogers gets traded there, maybe I have a different outlook (but that isnt happening this year either)
The point to stop worrying about other teams is when the Bills can consistently beat the best teams in the league. Even though the bills seem to be on the right track and are showing a lot of promise, they haven't shown to be a top 5 AFC team yet.

Has Belicheat ever signed a QB in FA, outside of Hoyer, who started off with them? I can't recall a single one.
Flutie?

Regardless of what we think about Affleck, we all agree the Patriots suck And Brady suck and both will miss the playoffs this season

Trading multiple first rounders for an unproven player and trading away one 1st rounder and some later rounders for an established player on an affordable contract and still a couple years under 30 is way different

I'm legit curious if some people know what a trade is. A lot of people have responded with current FAs. Signing a FA does not mean we traded for them.
It is a bit unusual, but players can still get the franchise tag. So a player who is a free agent can get tagged and traded.
Not sure when the franchise tag deadline is, but it is really close to the start of free agency
-
Although I like McDermott, I would prefer he let the players pick the captains. These are good choices, but I think the players would respond better if they had picked them instead.
Probably means nothing either way. Just my 2 cents

I don't think that predicting Ford won't start week 1 is a stretch. I like the pick, but Nsekhe probably has a leg up in the competition just based on experience alone. We all want Ford to win the competition at RT and start, and I think most fans assume he will, but Brown was asked for a bold prediction and he gave one.
I agree, but going farther saying that he didn't like the pick at all just a little baffeling. It is hard to argue against the pick

Im not gonna put the time in to do it.
He is arrogant and high minded, but never been fired due to his D.
BTW He had 3 top 10 Defenses in Washington. I would say he was fired by Buffalo and thats about it. Dismissed and fired are two different words in the employment world
He pretty much got fired because he is a polarizing personality. He has some some serious issues and he is very difficult to work with. He might be a good defensive coach on paper, but his personality is pretty much locker room cancer

Cue the "Patriots* will get him for a 6th rounder in 2020" crowd...
Yup.
But we know there is no way the Steelers would trade him to a conference rival even though brown would love to go to the pats

Glad they got this deal done. I like him much better than Star who we are overpaying at this point

Why though Frank... I need answers.
Apparently he treated that player that lost his brother to a drive by like crap. Based on those reports, he might be a good coach but a very questionable human being
EDIT
here is link to a report without the paywall. I'm just speculating, but I would think this must have played a role in the outcome

Allen went up against some good defenses and he will go up against another good one with jacksonville. I expect lots of struggle from allen with the next game. After that game, the defenses wont be as good as the others he went up against. I expect him to struggle with the jax game but improve the rest of the season

The people that should be "fired" is Beane and half the offensive players. I get giving Beane time to build a roster, but with the time he has been here the offense should not be this bad. The offense is super bad. There is no excuse for a gm to let the offense get this bad. You can blame it on a bad salary cap, you can blame it on injuries, you can blame it on focusing on defense, you can blame it on culture being more important than talent, but at the end of the day, every fan knew going into the season that the offense they built would be crap. It doesn't take a football genius to know what they did in the off-season was a recipe for disaster. Most of us predicted a bad offense. This bad offense falls on Beane for ignoring the offense. He put this crap talent together and sold it as an NFL caliber offense. It is not

cant help but agree with their assessment on Allen. I didn't hate the draft pick like they did, but there is a lot of blame to go around for his performance. Some of it is on him, but benjamin, the line, coaches, gm, they all take some heat regardless if Allen is a franchise qb or not

I was joking of course. And it was Buddy Nix who (I agree with you) drafted EJ. There is nothing to make you know Whaley would have drafted either of those guys. Nor is Josh all that inaccurate, all things considered.
I'm pretty sure whaley had a lot of say in EJ. He really forced the issue of giving EJ more chances to win the job and the one QB he drafted was pretty much an EJ clone.

...but he just isn't making the reads. We may have have to just get some burners at WR and have them run posts, sluggos, and 9's. Then he can just look deep. Be a "chunk play" offense if we have to. We have to make it work with this kid.
Or maybe he learns how to read a defense. If that happens, he could be scary (good).
The ol Losman offense is making a comeback!

Does it how?? Because NOW it is a concern about her son being beaten that she waits until the CIVIL SUIT.
I mean yeah endure the beatings son. I wont file criminal charges have to wait for a payday. And dont worry I will KEEP sending you to your dads to get beaten.
they are both gold diggers and out for the $$$$$$
I'm still skeptical of the accusations. But I'm with the other poster. The mother of his child calling BS on the child abuse was a huge thing that led me to believe shady was innocent. I think that still may be the case that he is innocent, but having 2 people saying it is a lot more powerful than just one person saying it.
Either way, it looks stories by both girls have a lot of red flags in them

Im 50/50. Something tells me that the civil suit got timed not long after he signed his contract, won the starting job, and about to play his first NFL game. So maybe being in the nfl did escalate it. The other part of me tells me the civil suit got triggered because the criminal case seems to have stalled.
Either way, I would imagine there would be enough evidence to make an educated determination. The crime she describes is very violent and she went to the police the next day. I would imagine there is physical evidence she was assaulted and probably a good chance of pictures were taken at the party that can prove them being there, possibly together.
I think his lawyer and her lawyer are both spouting nonsense. I would want to see what the actual evidence is, because I think both lawyers are putting too much spin on what they are saying publicly
