Marrone said he was told the holding didn't "warrant" the penalty. bunch of nonesense. I had a bad feeling when they showed it being the refs 1st nfl game
-
Cowboys win the NFC east.
And EJ starts all 16 games
-
starting EJ early didn't hurt his development. it was having no real QB coach and no Vet QB to lean on in his first season that killed him. Not sure if he is the guy, but he needs lots of playing time to get better.
I don't think he is the type that playing bad hurts his development. I think other things are the problem. kid needs to play

Let's say Hogan and Rogers got cut tomorrow. Gut feeling, who gets picked up first?
I would say they both clear waivers, hogan gets signed to our practice squad almost immediately, rogers lingers for a few days before signing with a team that will take a chance on him
-
I don't believe EJ was Buddy's pick. At all. It was pretty clear during HC interviews in late 2012/early 2013 that Nix was being pushed aside and the transition had began given Nix's comments about Marrone. No way would any pro organization allow the outgoing GM to pick the player who would most affect the future GM's performance.
exactly

Then he also said he told the coaches not to put too much in the game plan for the Bears. Waiting to unleash it all in the playoffs.
you want to waste our secret plays in the playoffs?! then what will we do for the super bowl?!
-
He doesn't use CJ right at all, game plan last year was always questionable. But can't lay it all on hackett. Marrone is very involved with the offense and the QB play is weak.

Resign Dareus, Spiller, Cordy, etc.
they won't resign dareus until he proves this season to stay out of trouble, they wont resign spiller until he has an agent, Cordy is going into year 3 of his contract, no rush to sign him.
Dead money hurts, but that is what happens when you have roster turnovers with new regimes every few years
-
it isn't hard to not be happy with the QB play by any of them right now
-
whether or not he gets fired will depend on the win/loss record after the season
-
If I could change anything about EJ it wouldn't be his helmet. It would be the important things like being healthy, better accuracy, hitting his targets in stride, making better desicions, not turning the ball over, etc. With all the things I worry about EJ, his visor and his leadership are at the bottom.

I see some 10-6 or better predictions and I wonder, given the Bills recent history, how many Bills fans betting with their head and not their heart, would make a bet of 10 wins or more this season.
well, if you use your head you wouldn't bet at all because this is a team we have no idea how they will perform. though chance doesn't really favor them. but they could very easily have a winning season just as much as a losing season.
I think that raider game is going to be a tough one. They got some solid vets, traveling to california takes its toll, and with our luck, we will have 3-5 significant injuries by then. So I am thinking that one is a loss.
But my heart really really wants to win that browns game, just because of whitner. I want all our wide receivers to burn him and I want that scoreboard to scream a bills win. I honestly want it more than a NE win at this point.
I am also thinking at worst this team goes 7-9. but I am pretty confident for a 9-7 season, but nothing higher than that unless EJ turns a corner. I think EJ will be better, but turning a corner is somthing I doubt.

They videotaped it. Shocking
Haha, amazing

Goes to the mobile home page for me. What does it say?
it is a video of the pats* doing the ice bucket challenge, which you have to nominate 3 more people, and Kraft nominates the other 3 afc east teams to take the challenge

I never said it was. I was talking carries touches per game. CJ and Brown should get the majority while Dixon gets most of the short yardage work. The Best players should be on the field, and I feel given each players abilities Fred lacks in some areas. This is NOT a knock on Freddy, I just think the Bills have great depth at RB and are set up for the future nicely.
I don't see anything that would warrant freddy to take less carries than Dixon of all people. The season should start with freddy and CJ taking the most reps. and if freddy never gets into a groove and brown is looking good, then move brown up a bit. But based on 2 preseason games, I see no reason to move freddy to 4 on the depth chart. The guy got us quite a few TDs last year. You don't limit a guy like that. you want a guy that scores TDs to be on the field.

What if #12 joined the JBJ group?
Then I say have JBJ arrested for brainwashing. They can't have my team and they sure as hell can't have my childhood hero QB.

The state is going to do whatever they need to in assuring that the team is here long term. Politics aside, it's good for us as Bills fans. This team being here long term is all that matters.
Well, I am not sure if that is all that matters. Personally I think it is silly a business as profitable as the NFL gets a free ride with taxes and somehow is able to sucker government to publicly finance their stadiums. It really is something that I think is wrong.
With that said, I will gladly put all those beliefs aside and be happy with anything that keeps the bills in buffalo.

We get a lot of these weird illnesses/injuries. Easley, Hariston, and now Glen. I don't follow other teams as close as the bills obviously, but I don't hear other teams having things like this. Paranoia could lead someone to believe they are all related and there is a deadly disease circling the locker room and they are trying their best to contain it. but ony because it is preseason and I have nothing else to think about except the batted down passes and the kyle williams play

If 5pm on the 30th was a soft deadline, why did they not just say that?
They didn't say it Because they want this process to be done behind closed doors. The trust isn't saying anything. All we get is random pieces of info from unnamed sources. So any of this information we get should be taken with a grain of salt and it should be obvious we will never get the whole story. And until the trust officially says something, nothing is official
It means to me that they threw Toronto out and the bankers want to get another bid because they don't think Trump will making a big binding bid which will deflate the eventual sale price because Pegula won't bid against himself.
this is probably the most true part, especially since there are no reports of Bon Jovi's group to go forward
-
It will prob be a high scoring game. If that happens, it might help us out. That will force Cutler to throw a lot. Even though cutler is better than EJ, he will throw some interceptions to us if he throws a lot. That is the only way I see it happening. I know their defense sucks and our defense is pretty good, but their offense is way to good for us to rely on our D. Our offense needs to be ready to score 35+ points if they are going to win. And even with Mike williams and Sammy, I am not sure how much I trust this offense, especially on the road. 24 points seems more realistic
but here is hoping for a big game. opening the season with a road win would be huge
-
No thanks, rather give him the modest deal he's worth (5.5M/yr), then keep him around for four more. He does have special talents, whether he's consistent with them or not, is another story, but he can do things you can't teach
This is my thought as well

So, I have a job that has me working on Sundays. I took the job earlier in the year hoping I would move into a different dept, new job, new schedule, or something before football season started. Since it looks like that isn't going to happen, I just used all my PTO to not miss a single bills game. All except the last game on Dec 28th against the pats*.... long story short, I can't ask for the dec 28th off unti like octoberish. And even then it is based on seniority and I probably wont get it.
So I need the bills to fight for this division. If them and the pats* are neck and neck, and they do the flex for the game, I can still watch it since I get out of work at 7:30! These guys are playing more than the playoffs now. I haven't missed a game in forever. The guys need to show up to keep my streak alive! As bad as these bills play sometimes, it would totally suck missing a game. Especially a divisional game.
And if we make the playoffs, I am def using my vacation time early in january
go Bills!

I understand but if EJ isn't a dual-threat QB then what is he good for? there are better "pocket passers" out there. EJ was successful in college because he was dual-threat
He really wasn't that much of a dual threat in college. He was a much better passer than a runner. In his college career he averaged less than 3 yards a carry. Now he is in the NFL where everyone is faster, and it is harder for a QB to run. that isn't going to win you many games if you are expecting your QB running with the ball is going to be a big part of his game. Honestly, the only time he should run with the ball is short yardage situations and maybe some redzone stuff.
What he really should be doing with his body and athleticism is using it to extend plays like how big ben does it. With a better oline, speedy receivers, if he can get an extra second by using his body, he could be lethal even if his accuracy hasn't improved.
If Bills stayed @9 in 2014 draft, who would they have picked?
