  1. I still holdout some hope that with better OL play that.EJ could play well. It isn't fashionable to acknowledge in the media or on this board, but a mixture of a young QB, young WRs, a weak OL, and an inexperienced Offensive Coordinator is most often going to look about like what we've seen.

Poor OL play affects QB play - go ask Tom Brady how he is enjoying playing under pressure form pass rushers.

Ill go with this. Though if we don't make the playoffs, coaching staff will change and EJ will be riding the bench next year

  2. Even though his accuracy is poor and his throws in general don't have that touch you see the elite QBs have when they throw it, I see improvement from last year by just an eyeball test. Even though we have receivers making tough catches on bad throws now, last year a lot of these throws receivers weren't able to make a play. So yeah, the throwing is nowhere near where it should be, but I think there is still hope his accuracy gets better.

I personally am more worried about his ability to read the field. I have seen very little improvement on that part of his game. Hopefully that works itself out, but im concerned

  3. I think it is almost safe to say Bills will beat them at least once this year. Brady is still way better than EJ, but overall we have a more talented roster.beating them at home shouldn't be out of the question. I am not sure if we will end the year with a winning record, but I have a feeling we have a winning record against the division opponents. All the teams in our division are more beatable than they have been. biggest threat is the jets

  4. That's a scary thought if Pears is teaching CR how to play guard.

Lesson No. 1: How to get blown 3-yards off the ball on running plays.

Lesson No. 2: How to get fooled on the same stunt 5 times in the same game.

Lesson No. 3: How to fall down and block no one on a screen.

I think you are getting them confused. I can understand being concerned with pears teaching richardson at guard, but pears teaching henderson to play tackle doesn't seem like a bad thing. Results of hendersons play looks promising, and he is the exact type of player that needs a vet mentor

  5. Teams, like NE, are going to game plan to make EJ beat them. They're gonna load up the box and leave their CBs on Revis Island. It's gonna be up to EJ to make the throws to beat them

No way they do that. All that will do is slow down the run game and have the receivers getting single coverage. You can't single cover our receivers and expect that to work. There is no secondary in the nfl that can do that.

  6. EJ definitely looks better than last year. Game is slowing down for him. He has a ways to go if he is going to turn into the player we all hope he will be, but it is looking good for his development. And winning games will help that development. He has to work on his timing and reads more, but he is definently improving. seeing him beat a good team on the road last week really made me think he did take a couple steps forward from last year

  7. Always have been and will be a Bills supporter.

EJ is and remains a mediocrity.

With an above average QB this game today would have been a blowout in the first half.

Sure! It was good enough to win and that's good enough! And we are all happy about that!

But we aren't going to be playing non-playoff wonders like the Bears and Dolphins every week of the year, if we are going to get where we all want to go.

Here is the story of this year: how far can the Bills go while EJ remains a bottom-half-of-the-NFL-QB and nothing more than a game manager?

No doubt we can accomplish a lot with our D. But how far can we actually go?

If he plays like he did today, making it to the playoffs should be expected. If he improves? who knows, endless possibilities. If he gets worse? I don't want to know

  8. starting EJ early didn't hurt his development. it was having no real QB coach and no Vet QB to lean on in his first season that killed him. Not sure if he is the guy, but he needs lots of playing time to get better.

I don't think he is the type that playing bad hurts his development. I think other things are the problem. kid needs to play

  9. Let's say Hogan and Rogers got cut tomorrow. Gut feeling, who gets picked up first?

I would say they both clear waivers, hogan gets signed to our practice squad almost immediately, rogers lingers for a few days before signing with a team that will take a chance on him

  10. Resign Dareus, Spiller, Cordy, etc.

they won't resign dareus until he proves this season to stay out of trouble, they wont resign spiller until he has an agent, Cordy is going into year 3 of his contract, no rush to sign him.

Dead money hurts, but that is what happens when you have roster turnovers with new regimes every few years
