1. Buffalo Bob, despite what you might think about their defense, AREN'T THEY IN THE PLAYOFFS??? AREN'T THEY COMPETITIVE??, IN 2002 WE WERE 8-8 and on the come up in the league, according to you guys TD made the right decision, AND NO WE SUCK, IM NOT UNDESTANDING YOU GUYS, WERE GOING BACKWARD, AND YOUR MUSHIN MUHAMMAD POINT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE, BECUASE GUESS WHAT, HE'S STILL A PANTHER, AND AS FAR AS THE CAP ISSUE THEY DON'T TELL YOU WHAT CAN BE TWEAKED, WHAT CAN MADE THIS WAY IN ORDER FOR THIS TO BE THAT WAY, ALL THEY TELL YOU IS IS A FIGURE, THAT IS MEANINGLESS TO ME, IT'S WHAT YOU DO WITH IT THAT COUNT'S, AND ALL THOSE GUYS YOU NAME THAT WE MENTIONED THAT WE SIGNED GOT US 6-10 MY MAN

Turn off the caps key dude.

And read the CBA about how the cap works -- it's not some mystical secret, you can figure out how it works. After you read it over and realize that you're not making any sense at all, then come back and apologize.

  2. Hey Fez what you scared of man, you afraid he might have a MONSTER YEAR, I just asked a question my man,

    Blah blah blah.

    Blah blah blah.

I'm tired of reading the same posts by you over and over when you IGNORE WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING!

PP wanted to be the #1 receiver. It wasn't just about money. And even if it was just about money, we couldn't afford him AND improve our defense.

    Nuff said.

  3. fezmid...  whatever the law defines a WMD as, is a WMD... whether you, or anyone else likes it or not.  How do you define what a WMD is?  I'm pretty sure that if one of those pipe bombs went off during school hours it would cause mass destruction... glass, metal, electric, human life, injuries, structural damage.  If a pipe bomb can't be considered a WMD, then I'd hate like hell to see a real one.  It may not be on par with anthax, or a dirty bomb, but how mayn lives have to be taken for a pipebomb to be considered a WMD?

Fine, then the war in Iraq was justified because they have WMD.

    Ludicrous statement, no?

  4. Is anybody else having problems playing decent, close games regularly?  I finished my first season on All-Pro at 11-5, and other than one OT game vs. the Jets, there wasn't a single game decided by fewer than 10 points.  I'd either lose by 2 TD's, or roll up 40+ points.

I guess it's better than Madden's "cheat for whichever team is trailing" game engine, but it's still kind of a bummer.

P.S. - the Bills defense is straight up nasty on this game.

    14568

Actually, most of my games were very close. I blew out the Browns (scored something insane like 60 points; most of them because they were going for it on 4th in the 4th quarter, giving me the ball on the 10-20 yard line). Other than that, I played several OT games and most were close.

I ended up going 12-4, but lost the division to the 14-2 Patriots... I split the season with them. Just played the AFC Championship game against the Pats and won 17-7. Now I'm in the Superbowl against the Falcons.

Buffalo's defense IS mean, especially TKO. That's my one complaint of the game -- I racked up an ungodly number of sacks with TKO because he's so quick on the blitz.

Oh, and TH actually broke an 84 yard TD run in the Championship game, outrunning a couple of LBs. We know THAT would never happen either

  5. let me ask you guys a question What if Peerless this year with a healthy Mike Vick and Matt Schaub looking impressive catches 90 passes again for over 1200 yards and 9 TD's, the same thing he did the year he left and makes it to the Pro Bowl then what will you guys say then??? Eric Moulds is not a top 5 wideout, but got paid though

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts,

it'd be Christmas all year round.

  6. 34 you guys keep saying he wasn't worth it, but you won't mention anything about PRODUCTION, Im just not so sure about that now, yall keep saying he's not in the top 5 as far as maybe being able to be on his own and catch 100 balls, and I agree with that, but it's only a few guys that can really, IM not saying he's necessarily in a class with TO, MOss and Harrison, or even Holt but gosh darnit, LOOK AT WHAT HE DID FOR OUR OFFENSE, so what if he played for the texans he might not dominate, but why would you base anything off but what he did for the BIlls and he produced and the offense produced and now our offense suck as a result of that move, it's going to take Lee Evans 3 years just like it does any other WR, he's no exception, Im not trying to wait that long, when we had a guy HERE ALREADY,

    14483

Jay, it's a moot point -- he wanted to be the #1 receiver and since Moulds was here, he wanted to go to Atlanta. He was *pissed* when TD tagged him, but he got to go to Atlanta anyway. Get over it.

  7. ill have to agree with you on that one... but what else would you call it?

    14470

A weapon? An explosive? What would it have been called 3 years ago? Definately not WMD (but I don't know what). I'm guessing that by charging him with WMD, he loses a bunch of rights (ala "terrorists") and has much harsher penalties because of the WMD destinction.

  8. i didnt want this to be political, but the first post that responded to my initial post, compared these pipe bombs to WMDs in Iraq. sorry it went off on a tangent after that...

to get back to my main point. I was saying that cus he is white hes "just curious". but if he was of middle eastern background, he would be a terrorist.

    also,

someone posted "if its at his house its no big deal, but if he was walking down the street with a bomb its a diffrent story..."

they found this guy, cus he was in a hit and run accident, and he had 6 bombs in his car.

    also,

there is a HUGE diffrence between M80s and a PIPE BOMB. one causes a large bang, the other sends metal shards outward in an attempt to harm as many people as possable. and even if your curious, why would you make 15 of them?? or be driving around with 6 in your car??

    14429

I said that a pipe bomb is NOT a WMD. Still believe that's so.

I've got no problem with him being arrested for having them. I have a problem with the WMD charges.

    CW

  9. I guess you're right, so if you see me walking down the street carrying a shotgun, think nothing of it.

    14325

I can see that you're having a hard time seeing the difference (or you're just being stubborn)

If you have a shotgun in your HOUSE, I should think nothing of it.

If you have a pipe bomb (or M80) in your HOUSE, I should think nothing of it.

If you're carrying a shotgun down the STREET, that's a problem.

If you're carrying a pipe bomb down the STREET (or in the SCHOOL), there's a problem.

Sheesh, it's not that tough a concept. Besides, you're missing my MAIN argument, which is a pipebomb is NOT a WMD. A *GUN* is much more a WMD than a pipe bomb IMHO, yet GUNS are legal.

  10. Is there any place I can do this on line (free would be nice).

On the applicaton it just says above 180 is approved, 160-179 requires additional deposit, 159 or below is denied.

It does not give a range, ex. 0-300

I am not expecting a problem but their office is closed to day so I thought I would ask here!

    14264

I'm not sure if that score is the same as your credit score. I know credit scores go from 0 (?) to 850. I'm guessing this may be a different thing though, as 180 is a pretty crappy score on that scale...

  11. Again I ask, how do you know he was going to bring them to school?  Did he admit that he was going to?  Maybe he was going to bring them into the woods and light them off like kids do (did?) with M80s?  I havn't heard anything past the initial arrest, so if you have local links, I'd like to read 'em.

I just about fell out of my chair with this one.  Normally I dont use movies as a source for quotes but this response from a dirty harry movie comes to mind:

"How did you know that he intended to rape her?"

"He was naked with a hard on, and he was  chasing her with a knife"

I guess you cuold use your argument- How could you be sure what his intent was.

Light them off like kids do? How many kids do you know set off pipe bombs in the woods?

Do you remember the video tapes of the Columbine kids?  They practiced their craft.....in the woods, before the Columbine massacre.

    14247

Your rape comparison isn't even close to the same -- if they were carrying the bombs IN the school, then ok. Let me rephrase your dirty harry quote:

"How did you know that he intended to rape her?"

"He was naked in his home with a hard on and had a knife on his nightstand."

Not quite the same, is it?

How many kids light off pipe bombs? As I said in my previous posts, I had a few friends who bought M80s and lit them off. An M80 isn't that much different from a pipe bomb, now is it? I'll refer you to the flamethrower link above. Is that a WMD? Should HE be arrested as well? If not, why not?

  12. well when the president tells me they have nukes, and all we find is pipe bombs, im alittle upset.

but a highschool kid with 15 pipe bombs in his room, down the street form me, in NC, USA, it gets my attention.

we all know a pipe bomb is not a nuke, but he was going to kill several students. what else could you call it.

    14227

Who the hell said anything about Nukes in Iraq? I don't recall hearing that (not that I follow it that closely). I recall hearing about chemical and biological weapons, but not nukes. But I digress, as I don't want this to get mired into politics at all.

If some pipebombs are a WMD here, they're a WMD anywhere, at least when it comes to the law. There's a reason simple laws are 15 pages long - they're spelled out in black and white to try and be impartial.

By your statement, if I have a baseball bat, I have a WMD -- I could bring it into school and easily kill several students with it.

You're spooked because it's near you -- fear is clouding your judgement. Learn from Yoda because fear turns to anger and anger leads you to the dark side (or something like that).

Again I ask, how do you know he was going to bring them to school? Did he admit that he was going to? Maybe he was going to bring them into the woods and light them off like kids do (did?) with M80s? I havn't heard anything past the initial arrest, so if you have local links, I'd like to read 'em.

  13. I started that thread about it. And I still maintain, a pipe bomb is *NOT* a WMD. Anyone here who says that it is better not turn around and vote for John Kerry based on the War in Iraq because if a pipe bomb IS considered a WMD, then Iraq has milllions of them.

And yes, I'd feel the same way even if the kid was of Arab decent (assuming he was a US citizen).

To be perfectly clear, I'm not saying he doesn't deserve punishment. I'm just saying that he shouldn't be charged with having WMDs. How many people here had M80s growing up? That'd probably be considered a WMD in today's day and age.

PS: How do you KNOW he was going to blow up the school? Any links? Because as I said, I havn't followed the story at all since he was charged.

  14. Online banking. It's almost imposible to do it without IE

    14096

As Wacka said, switch banks. I use Citibank with Mozilla and there's no problems.

Send your bank a message saying you don't want to be forced to use IE and will switch to a new bank unless they start fixing the problem. If enough people do that, companies will start coding to the standards instead of to MS.

I've got no problems with any of my credit card accounts either (Discover, Citibank, First Bank).

  15. I just installed Firefox for the first time and it's sweet!  It imported bookmarks and settings from IE and the tabbed pages are great.  What else does it do?  What does IE  do that Firefox cannot (scripting, activex, plugins)?

    13969

Well, Firefox doesn't let people exploit your PC...

Seriously though, Firefox doesn't do ActiveX -- which isn't necessarily a bad thing. There's some sites that don't follow the HTML specs correctly, so they don't display right. Otherwise, there's no reason to use IE.

Be sure to check out http://www.mozdev.org for various Mozilla/Firefox plugins.

  16. One thing that hasn't been drilled in yet -- if you don't currently have a router/firewall (hardware, not software), and you have broadband, GO GET ONE!!!!! For example:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...ronics&n=507846

This will give you the best security -- no worries of Microsoft Messanger messages, other open ports, etc, etc. Basicaly, all internet traffic will be unable to hit your machine.

AVG Antivirus is good as well. If you watch what you install, you don't really need to worry about installing spyware removal software. I usually download and install Adaware once every 3-6 months, and never find anything...

Mozilla is more stable than Firefox, so I use that. Firefox is the bleeding edge - usually faster, more features, etc, but more prone to crashing. Either is good. Opera (another free browser) gets good reviews as well - I've never tried it though.

    Hope this helps.

  17. I really hate to keep on about this, but where are all the "McNally is going

    work wonders" posters.

No touchdowns in three pre-season games from starting unit.  That is not a good

sign.  I tend to agree with Tony Bogyo's article where he essentially feels we

are in for the same type off offensive production this year.  That fact that we are

down both backups is also not a good sign.  The Statue is going to get killed and

    that will be that.

    13227

Maybe I'd be worried, but it's only preseason. Moulds was interviewed on the sidelines of the Colts game, and they asked him about that. He didn't look the least bit worried and he said, "We're not running anything that we do in practice here. There's no gameplanning or anything. Don't worry about it." That's good enough for me.
