  1. I'm pretty sure that's Charisma Carpenter: http://www.wallpaperbase.com/wallpapers/ce...carpenter_2.jpg Here's a (not very flattering) picture of Morena: http://www.celebopedia.com/baccarin/images...na_baccarin.jpg I'm sure others can do better Glad you liked the show - it really is (was) awesome. If I ever win a couple hundred million in the lottery, I'm funding more episodes of the show. CW
  2. At least they HAVE a part of the company that will help you. And you don't need to threaten to leave or anything, they're just very nice to you. I asked for the retention department at Comcast and they said there is no such department. You tell me which company cares about its customers more? (or at least cares about retaining them).
  3. I can do one better. Back when I first signed up for broadband (with AT&T/Comcast), I literally spent about 15 hours/week for *FOUR* weeks trying to get them to hook it up properly (the problem was on their side and I kept telling them what they needed to do to fix it...). After getting through the first couple lines of support and talking to someone who knew what they were doing (every day...) I was told, "We'll have to get that information to Denver for you" Well, after the first week of hearing that, and everyday I call back and the message never made it to Denver, I told them to just call Denver right now, get someone on the phone, and we can work this out. Their response? "We can't do that, it'd be a long distance call." YOU'RE THE FREAK'N PHONE COMPANY!!!! I REALLY wished that DSL was an option, but it wasn't available... And I need broadband for my job., So after that month of being on the phone with them for at least two hours a day, they finally set it up for me. I asked for a credit (DirecTV has given me tons of credits for much less). You know what the woman said? "We can't give you a credit for your time, but we won't charge you for the month you didn't have service." Let that sink in... The company won't charge me for something I never had. That story still raises my blood pressure. DirecTV is definately the way to go from a customer service point of view (especially when you ask for Customer Retention). They're amazing. CW
  4. Snap is when the center moves the football from the line of scrimmage back to the quarterback, punter, or holder (or, in a trick play, to a runningback). That was easy, next.
  5. To be fair, a play or two before that bad whiff, he completely stopped Zach Thomas in his tracks, and then chipped a second rusher. One of the better plays I've seen him do.
  6. Not bad? How many times did JP get 2 seconds to throw? Heck, how many times did he get to even set up to throw? Looks like he was throwing it away all the time to me. They weren't bad with the run, but pass blocking is (and has been for 10+ years) a problem.
  7. Yeah, I know. Unfortunately, there's not a lot they can do -- they're all independent contractors (as are most Comcast installers in the area, for the record). They do take negative comments about the installers very seriously though and generally give programming credits if you call and tell them about it. CW
  8. That wasn't a QB only play -- his forward progress was stopped for quite awhile and the refs blew it dead like they're supposed to.
  9. That's great, but the pass wasn't behind the LOS, it was right at or beyond the LOS -- given the fact that Reed was blocking two yards past the LOS and the catch happened right around that area.
  10. Exactly. The unfortunate part is that a lot of installers are really lazy - they want to do as many of the "easy" installs as possible, so will come in and say "No, it won't work" and then leave. These aren't DirecTV employees -- they get paid per job, so they want to do a bunch of jobs to make more money in their own pocket and sometimes take some convincing to do the work.
  11. Good thing I have DirecTV then! Otherwise the monsoon could snap a coax cable and I'd be without TV for a day or two!
  12. Are you new here? Of COURSE the fans here would B word about it if the roles were reversed. They're complaining about the refs calling PI on Reed when he clearly interfered.
  13. Agreed - but if the teams had been reversed, everyone would be screaming that the refs don't want Buffalo to win and that they took away a turnover from us.
  14. We're not asking for 300 yards passing - our team isn't built that way.. But you need a good 150-200 yards I think. With our bad OL though, that's not easy to do...
  15. Yeah, but they have a point. When your QB throws for less yards than your runningback (and your back doesn't even get to 100 yards...), you're going to be in trouble more often than not. We beat Miami, which is great, but we're not an elite team yet. That said, I"d prefer winning ugly than losing pretty
  16. Not if you have a generator Same here. I find those commercials hilarious
  17. I love how cable companies say, "You don't want DirecTV, a rain storm can knock you out for a few minutes!" Whereas with cable, a truck can take you out for hours/days. CW
  18. That's exactly what Nervous Guy kept saying, but I convinced him to have an installer come out, and guess what? He's enjoying DirecTV now. Chances are you can get it - people get scared off by the tree thing, but the dish usually points up above them -- it doesn't look like it when you see one, but it does. There's several houses in my neighborhood that have the dish pointing right at the side of their house, but it works. CW
  19. Reed was on the 17, the LOS was the 15. He obviously DID engage the defensive player before the ball was caught - it wasn't even close. You're wearing your homer glasses if you can't tell; Reed's hands were in front of him and pushing the defender while the ball was in the air. That's engaging. He did sometihng similar against Pittsburgh a couple years ago that also cancelled a touchdown and a probable playoff berth. Sorry guys, but the refs aren't out to get us every single week (only against the Patriots, apparantly). I also like how nobody seems to think that the JPL fumble (that was blown dead due to forward progress) was a case of the refs trying to screw the Dolphins. (again, it was a good call to protect the QB, very common, and the ref started to blow the whistle right before the fumble). CW
  20. It's called "Niagara Falls: Raging Rapids" and is on from 10pm-11pm EST. Battlestar Gallactica Special is on at midnight EST on UHD. I think it's the recap of the first two seasons, but I'm not sure. CW
  21. The key is that Miami's OL sucks... Worse than ours. Oh, and Culpepper isn't very good either - Living in MN, I've seen a lot of his games. I was happy when you guys traded for him. Our offense isn't going to scare anyone though, is it? CW
  22. I have no idea what game you're talking about so have no idea. But that was what, 15-20 years ago? And people say I don't let things go?
  23. Dude, it was pass interference regardless of what Kelso said. The offense isn't allowed to engage the defensive player until the ball is caught (or before the ball is thrown). You can't block someone while the ball is in the air; as soon as the ball is in the air, no blocking is allowed. CW
  24. Well remember, we all knew that their OL was worse than ours, and ours is pretty bad... So don't expect this performance every week. That said, I think we can do it against the Jets CW
