If you were her father and she told you about what happened, would you go kill the person? Guess what? The girl made the whole story up (I can't find the article stating that right now... But it was on the news here this morning...). So all you gung-ho street justice people would've murdered/tortured someone who hadn't done a single thing wrong, based solely on the word of your child. I want to be engaged by the story, not by a set of single-serving episodes. I think that's one thing that makes Joss Whedon so popular (Buffy, Angel, Firefly) - he wrote shows that could stand alone but also fit into a bigger picture. There's a minor thread and several major threads throughout each season. Excellend writing. Prison Break is similar in that regard. Veronica Mars is another excellent example (and HIGHLY recommended). Of course it helps to have TiVo... CW

I've seen the first few episodes. Pretty good, but not great. Better than most things on TV though.

Yeah, except how many times have you seen something posted here like, "I want X, but my wife won't let me." From most people I talk to, the women are the ones controlling the finances, and I bet most of them wouldn't be willing to pay $2/mo for ESPN. Makes me happy that I control the finances (with full support of my wife) in my household.

Where is the proof that this guy has a history? The post that HopsGuy made claiming "video proof" is a clip from Family Guy. Way to RTFA (or in this case, WTFV - Watch the Freak'n Video). Again, innocent until proven guilty. You know, one of the foundations of our country? Did you read what the police said? ALLEGED pedophile. Of course I guess this should be expected. We're giving up all of our other rights ("We have to fight the terrorists!") so why would we believe in "Innocent until proven guilty" either? At least in AJ's example, there was proof (and he was assaulted himself). Don't bother with the "You don't have kids so you wouldn't understand" comments; I've seen them before.
