  1. So if he did pull it, which we have no idea he actually did, he should have !@#$ing used it. HEAR THAT JAMES use the moth-a !@#$ing thikng next time, if you don't you lose cred.

This guy should not have been drafted.

  2. i will laugh like a happy school girl getting taken to her first prom when stroud and aaron have a two linemen one cup (where brady is the cup) party on tom tom. it will be fun as can be to watch his knee get popped and turned to dust while his throwing arm is broken, his throwing shoulder is dislocated, and his throwing rotator cuff is turned into and antipasta.

i will walk tall through a pats bar and kick every fat headed fake irish boston prick in the face while they cry into their pube filled pints of sam adams.

There is a good reason why Jacksonville chose to trade Stroud and it's not because he's on the upside of his career.

  3. i loled when they picked another linebacker.

first, because they stole the guy NE wanted (we'll talk about trading down later)

and second because they seem to pick one in the first couple rounds every year. more so than we pick DBs

Rivers does not fit the Patriots version of the 3-4.

  4. Pats statement on Matt Walsh/NFL agreement

This was jsust passed along by the Patriots:

The New England Patriots are pleased to learn that Matt Walsh is finally willing to come forward to meet with the NFL. We are eagerly anticipating his honest disclosures to Commissioner Goodell next month and the return of all the materials he took during his time of employment. We fully expect this meeting to conclude the league’s investigation into a damaging and false allegation that was originally levied against the team on the day before this year’s Super Bowl.

It is important to note that there has never been a confidentiality agreement restricting Matt Walsh and no legal protections were ever necessary for him to speak to the NFL, to media outlets or to anyone else regarding his employment with the Patriots. He demanded to be released from responsibility for his statements, and after a frustrating and lengthy negotiation period, a settlement has finally been reached. Walsh has been granted a significant number of privileges through this agreement, none of which the Patriots or the NFL were obligated to give.

At all times, we cooperated fully with the league’s investigation and stand by our initial public statement from Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008: “The suggestion that the New England Patriots recorded the St. Louis Rams’ walkthrough on the day before Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 is absolutely false.”

The Patriots’ organizational focus at this time is on the NFL Draft and preparing

There is no possible way Walsh has a tape of that walkthrough after reading this statement by the Patriots “The suggestion that the New England Patriots recorded the St. Louis Rams’ walkthrough on the day before Super Bowl XXXVI in 2002 is absolutely false.” Kraft would never have that statement released if there was even a slight chance he had the tape.

  5. Buyer Beware on defensive end

Ohio State’s Vernon Gholston is considered a high-riser in the NFL Draft. Scouts have fallen in love with his potential, overlooking, perhaps, some inconsistencies from his college career.

“He’s top seven at worst,’’ ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper Jr., said.

New England, picking seventh, could be his final destination. In the 3-4 front, Gholston could be used as a linebacker.

But not all have him up there, however. At least one AFC team gave him a second-round grade, even talking about dropping him to the third round.

“I’d be terrified if I took him in the first round,’’ one scout said. “He’s chiseled, he runs like the wind and he’s not dumb. But if you look on film, he has three great games and the rest of the season he’s watching the game.’’

  6. That is 180 degrees opposite of what I heard & read. Kraft & Belichick* went hat in hand & apologized profusely to the other owners for the SHAME & EMBARRASSMENT they brought upon themselves & the ENTIRE league with their CHEATING WAYS.

Yes they apologized for the taping of the Jets. I was referring to Kraft and Belichick calling out Walsh to bring forward the evidence he has.

  7. So PFW's sources tell them that 1] He has nothing, 2] he wants full immunity just so this thing can go away, but 3] he's not grandstanding?

Umm... my sources tell me that doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

And my sources tell me that he can make the thing go away this afternoon by saying, "I don't have tapes, or anything worthwhile."

And my sources tell me that if a guy says he has something, and isn't grandstanding, he has something.

Kraft and Belichick are being very smug this week at the NFL meetings calling Walsh out so they must know something.

  8. From their "The Way We Hear It" page:

    Quote:

Patriots aren't alone in wanting 'Spygate' controversy to be over with

“So, I assume you guys want to talk about the ‘force out’ rule?” That was Patriots coach Bill Belichick’s opening line to the throng of reporters who gathered to talk to him at the league’s meeting in Florida this week, a joke used to make light of the “Spygate” situation that was obviously the most pressing issue on the media members’ minds. But as one team source told us, Belichick’s opening quip and generally upbeat mood was indicative of his belief that not only does he have nothing to hide regarding the allegations that the Patriots taped a walk-through before their Super Bowl XXXVI victory over the Rams, but that he’s getting the sense that most league types are similarly sick of the issue. The source also told us that he highly doubts former cameraman Matt Walsh will speak out on the matter. Walsh has insinuated that he knows something shady about the Patriots’ practices, although we hear that, at this point, Walsh is regretting being a bit loose-lipped in a smattering of interviews with a couple of media outlets a few months ago. Now, Walsh, who works as an assistant golf pro in Hawaii and has a wife and baby, wants this saga to be over with so he can get on with his life. According to a source, reports that he’s grandstanding for attention are utterly erroneous.

  9. Voting against the measure were Seattle (Mike Holmgren), Tampa Bay (Jon Gruden), Oakland (Lane Kiffin), Philadelphia (Andy Reid), St. Louis (Scott Linehan), Washington (Jim Zorn) and Green Bay (Mike McCarthy).

Funny how none of those guys coach in the AFCE and only one is an AFC HC and he's from the stupid Faders!

NFL scoring will be down this year as a result of this. Thats not so great for an anemic offense like the Bills have.

  10. Let see a wolf pack of corporate lawyers sue you and see how your life turns out. It's not about the money, Jackson. It's the pain you inflict. You're either really thick, or you just have a man-crush on Bill Beli-cheat.

    PTR

What pain? People file lawsuits everyday in America. It's life in the U.S. What could they actually sue him for, stealing a tape. The judicial process would be great for discovery because all parties would have to tell the truth in their depositions.

  11. Kraft has a gun to Walsh's head. The NFL may offer immunity but they can't stop the Patriots from suing the crap out of Walsh for revealing his information., especially if it's videos that were Patriots property. That's why we haven't heard anything yet. Kraft holds all the cards. The Pats get away with cheating. The NFL can sweep it all under the rug.

    PTR

So what if the Patriots sue him. He is an assistant Golf pro-- He has has no money. What could the Patriots possibly extract from him $500.

  12. We will find out how good (OR BAD) Brady & Belicheat are next season. Over the years Brady has been given CREDIT for being able to pick a defense apart. NOW WE KNOW WHY, he knew EXACTLY what the defense was going to run.

You can't be serious. What about last year Belichick had to turn in the tapes so what what did he have to go on???? What about when he was winning at Michigan, oh I know Lloyd Carr was taping opposing coaches also.

  13. Now you're really shovelling it onto a pile. Switzer inherited a great (gag) team from Johnson. Capers would be inheriting a team reeling from the suspension of their head coach for CHEATING. It will have tainted everything they've done since the 2000 season, and that includes your boy Brady. Questions about who knew what, who was in on it, whether Brady's numbers should be considered tainted. And when they start losing, Moss will start dogging it. Belicheat get's suspended and that team won't win 8 games next year.

Maybe that will happen in your Parallel universe.
