1. You have to make Vince Young beat you, but you cant make him beat you with his legs cause he will. Make him try and beat you through the air, thats where our strength has been. I have complete faith Clements and McGee can take care of business. This game its very important to control the gaps and not to over pursue. The last thing we need is for Vince to take off running.

When Travis Henry has the ball, attack the football, we all have seen it in Buffalo when he was here, he can fumble the ball.

Dont play laid back, attack attack attack.......its not time to hold anything back!

  2. The 7-7 Buffalo Bills have found themselves in the playoff picture starting off 2-5 before the BYE week. They are now 7-7 winning 5 out of the last 7 games, losing by 4 combined points to Indy & San Diego, both teams who have won their divisions by a rather large margin. Is this really such a big deal? YES! 365 Days ago look where this team was at. 1 year ago they were coming off a loss to Denver that put the stamp on Eric Moulds career in Buffalo. Mike Mularkey & TD were on their way out the doors. We have since cut dead weight old players, such as Sam Adams, Lawyer Milloy, Eric Moulds, Mike Williams. I remember when the moves were made with those players we as a fan base had no idea what Ralph and Marv Levy were doing. Now those 4 players are long forgotten!

In comes the Jauron era. I questioned the hire of Jauron, my faith in the Bills was about to disapear until I was convinced by a poster on Buffalobills.com boards to keep the faith. I did so, and I couldnt be more happier!

This team has come along ways from a year ago. Last year we had no identity other then a losers mentality. This years team is different. This years team have the mindset they can win every single game they play and thats a dangerous combination when you have youth to go along with it! Not only is this team better, they are in fact YOUNGER! You see how good they are now, give it 2 more years when they really know how to play with one another! It can be scary!

Right now the Bills are sitting at 7-7 with a slim shot at the playoffs, however to even have the shot at the playoffs starting 2-5 tells me this team fights its rearend off and that they dont believe in the word quitting. Thats the same attitude the early 90's Buffalo Bills had, never say die attitude.

I see a 7-7 team that very well could have been fighting for homefield advantage for the playoffs right now. Think about it!

Week one against the Patriots, if Donte Whitners INT went for a TD, that game Buffalo would have won making them 8-6 right now.

Week 3 against Miami, if JP dont have any turnovers Buffalo is most likely the winner of that ball game by 3 points or so. Buffalo would have been 9-5 right now.

The Detroit game We were one play away from winning that ball game, or shall I say one corner away from stopping Roy Williams to win the game. If Nate played Williams like hes playing now Buffalo wins that game. That would have made them 10-4 right now.

Then we need to look at the Colts game. Granted we lost by 1 point, I feel Buffalo was 2 playes away from winning that ball game! I only say that cause you cant give Peyton Manning 6 minutes to score a TD to win the game. Thats another ball game Buffalo very well could have won, if so they would be 11-3 right now.

Then we have to take a look at the Chargers game a few weeks ago. I still think if Antonia Gates dont catch that TD before halftime Buffalo wins that football game regardless of the day LT had. This to is another game Buffalo very well could have won making them 12-2.

I guess what im trying to say is, this team was a handfull of plays away from being the #1 seed in the AFC playoff race. I know I know, Coulda, woulda, shoulda.....But those are the facts guys. This team was a handfull of plays away from being one of the best teams in the NFL, one of the best teams with a new system, and several rookies starting at key positions! To me, thats one heck of an accomplishment!

I also think if Buffalo was in that scenerio, Dick Juaron would have been coach of the year with no question!

This team is on its way, mark my words at the end of this season people will be asked what teams to look out for in 2007, The BUFFALO BILLS will be one of the teams that are mentioned!

If the chips fall where we all want them to, this team will be nasty come 2007. As long as we find ways to lock up Nate & Fletcher and have another good draft, and possibly 2 key FA's, this team is on the verge of something special.

  3. I understand its Christmas Eve and all.....but the game is at 1pm. It will be over by 4:15 unless they go to OT. I think using Christmas Eve is an excuse for some. I know people going to the game this weekend that are about 4 hours from the stadium.

I thought football was the way of life in Buffalo? You honestly cant tell me that worthless sport called hockey is the way of life now in Buffalo!

So yes I agree its shame on our fan base to have that many tickets unsold thus far.

Christmas Eve! Give me a break! If it was a night game id understand but its a 1pm game!

  4. Fletcher had strong competition with some popular names.  Evans, while very good, has a hard time beating out: Marvin Harrison, Chad Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Lauverneous Coles etc.  Clements turned it on recently but you have guys like Champ Bailey out there so that hurts his chances too.  The Fletcher snub is the biggest shame, that guy is a warrior week in and week out.

    872943

    You make outstanding points!!!

However, with Fletcher & Clements, they have had 5 rookies starting on defense for them, and for them to shine like they have with their surrounding cast is why I think they are probowl worthy. Take Fletcher and Clements off this defense and trust me this team dont have 7 wins!

As for Evans, you are right.....AFC is loaded with WR's. But to think, Evans has a kid whos never played a full season in the NFL throwing the ball to him. Imagine the #'s he would put up with Brady, Manning, or Palmer throwing to him. This is not a knock on JP at all, its a knock on the way votes are casted.

When it comes to the Pro Bowl you need to look deeper into things. I bet if you asked an NFL fan who the top 10 WR's are in the league, Lee Evans name will not be mentioned!

I still feel all 3 where shunned.

  5. With Fletcher & Clements not making the pro bowl does this hurt the Buffalo Bills chances at bringing them back? Honestly if Buffalo was more of a popular team I really do think they would have went to the pro bowl.

Face the facts only reason Schobel is there cause when people log onto NFL.com to check stats it shows his picture for leading the league in sacks, thats the only way people know about him....of course he deserves to go, im just saying not many people other then Bills fans see what Fletcher and Clements has done for this team this year. And to be honest I have a bad feeling this is going to hurt the Bills chances at keeping these 2 guys for next year. I dont know why I feel that way I just do......

I do have a feeling though some guys will drop out of the pro bowl or wont go and they will get in some how, same goes for Lee Evans. You always have a few guys that are elected to the pro bowl but dont go so they look for someone else to go.

However, Fletcher, Clements and Evans made a strong case to be in the pro bowl for the AFC squad!

    All 3 were shunned!

  6. Hey all, I'm a Titans fan that's heading down to the game on Sunday. I bought the tickets during the summer never imagining that the game could have playoff implications. I was just hoping that at this point in the season I'd have a chance to see Vince play. Hopefully you guys are as excited about this game as we Titans fans are.

I've got a couple of questions for you guys regarding attending a game at Rich Stadium (I haven't been to see a game since the Frank Reich led 35 -3 comeback Wildcard disaster game between the Bills and Oilers)  :( . I actually snagged some pretty decent seats for the game (sec 111 row 4). How obstructed will my view be by the players standing on the sidelines? What time does the visiting team's bus arrive for the game and is possible to snag an auto or two at that point? I'm hoping the weather holds out and I won't be freezing my butt off. Any recommendations from you guys for making the experience more enjoyable will be greatly appreciated.

If I wear my Vince or Pacman jersey how much abuse will I receive (other than good natured ribbing)?

    871817

Usually in those seats, you are with the season ticket holders meaning the fans are much more calm atleast i think so! I was in Sec 112 row 12 for the Jags game and I didnt see any problems what so ever!

Its simple, if you wear the other teams gear be smart. If your team is winning the game no reason to act like a jack@ss.......cause it could make things worse. Chanses are if you are being a good fan, most fans will be good to you also.

As for players buses arriving at the stadium....Ive seen them arrive just before the gates to the parking lot open and thats 5 hours before the games begin which is around 9am. The players arrive over on the other side of the field house. I do know if you get into the stadium at 11:30 and get right to the field you might be able to get an autograph or 2, the best spot for that is prolly the tunnel or at the other end of the stadium scoreboard side , thats where your Titans will be doing pregame jogging....might see some players working on routes and things.

Best of luck to you and enjoy the game!

    Happy Holiday!

  7. Yep, I think it's simple, play strong defense, take away their run and use our offense to put points up on the board.

When Buffalo plays conservatively they tend to lose, see Indianapolis, see 1st half of SD, see Detroit, etc etc.

    870990

Good points man, I agree......when your playoffs are on the line, you cant be conservative, its due or die......right now you cant hold anything back.

With the Titans defense we have gotta attack, id throw everything at them!

  8. A part of me feels that Perry Fewell will have an impact on this. Cause I really do think Fewell is a major reason why Nate is having success this year!

I read a story a few weeks back when we played Green Bay, there are rumblings that the Packers cant afford Al Harris and will most likely be cut after the season and it was mentioned he would be a great replacement if Clements were to leave Buffalo......I dont want to see it happen though!

  9. If their defense is really THAT bad, then while we're constantly running the ball trying to be conservative, we'll find ourselves picking up 1st downs in the process. We should continuously pound the ball, chew up clock, and wear down that run defense for Willis in the second half. Our defense and/or special teams WILL make a play in this game if we successfully take away VY's running.

    870984

I went to NFL.com to check the stats of the Titans defense and I didnt realize how bad they actually were....

I do agree, we need to pound the ball as much as we can wear down that defense and then use our weapons, thats when we cut Lee Evans, Roscoe loose....But we need to protect the football, if we dont give it away the offense can put some points up like they did against the Jets. As of late we have been facing some top tier defenses with the Jags & Miami and we beat them....so...you never know.

Dont get me wrong, Titans are on a roll this is not a given game. Gotta give respect where its due.

I do think we will have our opportunities! Id love to see Buffalo control the clock and put 7 points on the board not just 3.....Id feel better not allowing Vince Young on the field....

So in my mind, its not a gimmie type game, but it is a game where we should have some opportunities down field and we should be able to get a run game going!

  10. You cant live on what you opponent did last week...........

Look at what Miami did the Patriots last weekend, beat them 21-0 made Brady look foolish. Buffalo comes out shuts them out and makes their highly rated defense look dumb.....I mean JP picked them apart.

I dont fear the Titans defense cause of the balls the Jags gave them! What I dear fear is their running game with Henry and Young....If the Titans can control the clock they can make a game of it. They like the Bills have a young unit playing hard for every snap.

Make no mistakes, this is a tough game....but we should have our shots!

  11. We need to keep Fletcher, Clements, if we dont its like we are starting all over again and to be honest this franchise cant have that!

This is the year Ralph has to spend, or I should say get the best for his money.

I have no seen enough of Youboty to have any confidence he can take over for Clements! Clements is in a zone! He might be hitting his prime and to be honest this defense needs that along with his leadership......

  12. I think most turnovers the Jags had were pretty much hand given to the Titans! But then again I just seen the highlights and didnt actually see the game......

I say let it fly man....i wouldnt hold anything back! Its due or die, its not time to be conservative offensively.....

As for defense, I dont fear their WR's.....Clements has been on lock down McGee has been strong aswell.....I can see Whitner being brought up to contain Vince Young.

One thing is for sure, we cant have any miss tackles this weekend!
