This team quit with 6 minutes to go. That's what happens when the D decides they can't win and can only cause stupid penalties.
-
Also, Whaley has done a magnificent job putting this roster together, but we actually have some friggin'real coaches now. I don't think Darby's development would have been this rapid under previous coaching regimes.
-
Truly awesome. How high do we reckon his upside is?
Really high. If Rambo doesn't kill him first...

Really happy with a quality win over a quality opponent. That being said Jerry Hughes as good as he is is gonna cost us games with his boneheaded penalties. There was no reason for his personal foul on the QB. That could have gone really bad.
This is a trademark of Ryan's teams, undisciplined stupid penalties. He should make it a point of emphasis with this staff this week. No way we get away with it next week against the Cheatriots**

Lynch, Jackson and Wilson. Nice offensive set. If only the Bills had a chance at players like that.
I know. Someday. Maybe. If we eat all our veggies...#smh

I'm a little concerned that this D is beginning to look a lot like Rex's previous Ds. Incredibly talented, gets after the quarterback and not very disciplined. Could be a recipe for disaster in critical moments.

Don't know if it's been mentioned. But it's a misdemeanor because the bodily harm was not severe enough. He avoided the felony charge on a technicality.

On the Walton County Police Dept FB page:
I didn't think this was a great hire. Mostly because of of the trust that needs to exist between players and coaches. But I gave Rex the benefit of the doubt. I think this guy has some anger management issues. I was on his side until the whole "I'll kill your family" bit. Time to move on.

I just read this, off Facebook. Fantastic insight. Great read. Of course, he doesn't mention the fact that he slept with his nanny, but you know he does seem wiser now.

Seems to me Ryan is giving EJ a fair shot. If he can't avail himself of this opportunity, then he would need to go. But it's still premature to say he's not gonna make it here.

I think SI is in panic mood. The Bills are not.

I'd wanna be sure he was not involved in the murder first. If there is even an inkling...I'd want him accountable to the judicial process. If...

I don't watch a ton of college football. So FWIW YMMV - but as far as QBs I think we should look at Taylor Heinecke and Shane Carden. I think Heinecke with the right system and coaching can go far. The kid is special in the intangibles dept. I met his agent a few years ago. Nice guy.
I also think we need a safety. Awfully thin there.

Mark my words: Marquise Grey is going to be solid.
Chandler was a reliable target, but he certainly had his weaknesses. His YAC were terrible. A girl scout could tackle that guy. And, IMHO, I don't think he makes the Pats* 53.
Could you elaborate on this?
I think you're absolutely correct on Grey.

As far as hotels in Nashville, the Hutton on West End is hard to beat. If you want to be smack dab in the heart of downtown and have the budget, the OMNI is just gorgeous. Lower budget options include Holiday Inn, Hampton near Vanderbilt.

London, no question. But I live in Nashville and I have to say the Titans stadium is a beautiful, intimate venue. Have enjoyed everything I've seen here. Including a Bills game when they lost and Bud flipped them the Bird.
Plus it's Music City and the probably one of the hottest towns in the country right now.

According to Tweet:

According to Tim Graham, Dolphins have "moved on":

I wouldn't be surprised if we traded a player and picks in this year's draft for a shot at a potential #1 talent who may slip. The M.O. has changed at OBD.
-
Yes it is. Not sure the problem you are having. The only non guaranteed money against your cap is this particular year's salary and stuff like roster bonuses. That should obviously count against your cap because it's for this year. And if you release the guy it goes away.
yeah, I think I understand that part. But aren't there benchmark dates? So for a vet, it's first day of the season. For a non vet, some specific week into the season? It just seems like paper facts until you actually keep the guy past your benchmark date. Also if you cut a guy, doesn't the balance of upfront money accelerate and hit your cap the year in question? Whereas if you don't it's just prorated over the period of the contract?
-
I think you just don't understand the cap convo - no offense meant
None taken. I freely admit I don't understand it.
-
It still amazes me that money can be not guaranteed and still count against your cap. Only in the NFL does that math make sense. I like the restructured deal. If I have the pre/post restructure numbers right, we cleared up $5 mil in cap room. Is that correct?

They're finally getting coaches on this team to develop QBs. I like Palmer as long as he doesn't go above his pay grade. He is a great QB tutor but not much else.

Jerry Hughes needs to be suspended by the team for one game. Or at least not start.
