Chanting Flutie, Flutie, Flutie as we exited the stadium.
Man, I was a fan before that moment. But after I became downright manic. I mean how could you not? I know we didn't really win anything during that era. But it truly was a magical 2-3 years. I also couldn't get over how bad Wade got dragged for not wearing a headset.

Flutie bootleg against the Jaguars
Was there. What an incredible moment.

Trade the pick to KC. Then watch them trade it to Cleveland for Garrett.

Nah. Our D would have been shredded. We just don’t get to the QB consistently. Plus Hurts played out of his mind tonight.

I am fascinated by the worthy debate lol. I thought he played even smaller than expected, absolutely worthless run blocker and pretty bad against press man. Those two knocks on him have seemed to turn out to be 100% accurate. Don’t think he would’ve seen the field much in Buffalo to be honest ala MVS. None of the great teams you run into in the playoffs are gonna have a lot of trouble with him until garbage time evidently
Will catch the defense napping at times on a big play but don’t think he was worth the pick honestly for the chiefs even. Maybe Coleman isn’t either we’ll see, but we got Coleman and a third. Coleman would’ve outgained worthy if he didn’t miss a chunk of time on top of being a much more effective run blocker so I don’t even get people thinking the stats argument is a slam dunk in worthy’s favor tbh
If this is a production business, like everyone says it is, then objectively he was more productive. That’s what the data says. Scouting in college seemed to indicate the same thing.
I don’t understand why Beane went so out of his way to not draft him. The best I can figure is they didn’t want to pay first round money.
when the coach who has won two SBs with the Chiefs bird dogs Worthy, maybe he knows something Beane doesn’t.

They should have picked him. Guy plays bigger than his size. Shows up during big moments. Sure has looked durable all season. If this staff couldn’t coach Worthy, what made the front office think they could coach Coleman?

Jauron was a class act and a great human. He was just a bad fit for the Bills in that era. Every one who played for him, loved him.

Bills shouldve adjusted after the first one... refs werent calling so go to something else
A good friend is a cameraman for the video contractor that the networks use. He was working the Bills x Chiefs game. He said the Chiefs practiced stopping the Tush Push all week. It was a point of focus. He’s covered the Bills and the Chiefs multiple games all season. He says KC is always super prepared and detailed. Based on the limited experience he has had on site. Something tells me McD is nowhere as well prepared.
Also Mahomes is fiery and clutch.

I think we can move on from Von next year and we will be out of the Diggs dead cap. The Bills are still an attractive team for free agents.
I agree 100%. But we still need to coach whomever up. We can literally pick guys off the street and make them good DBs. But we turn diamonds into debris on the DL. Why can’t we get a decent DL coach? For a defensive minded HC not getting that locked in is worrisome.
i wonder if good defensive assistants don’t want to coach for McD? He is not Reid for sure. Hell he isn’t even Rex Ryan in terms of being genial.
Also pretty sure Smiley as ST Coach is gone as sacrificial lamb. The guy who saved Hamlin.

You have to be a regular season hero to get the chance to play in this game. Don't act like making the playoffs is nothing. I lived though a 17-year drought where we all got giddy for being "in the hunt" and winning the division was a pipe dream.
absolutely. But the reason we are even in the conversation now is because we hit on a generational QB. And we’re wasting him, because our FO/HC can’t get their heads out of their asses. Should have drafted Worthy. So obsessed with Keon and size and being crowd friendly. Well Worthy played all season and was a game changer. We started out the season with low expectations cause of turnover and the cap. We should have cap room now in the offseason.
I think Shakir is all world. But we need a dependable receiver on the other side, someone who can consistently get to the QB and a stud DB. Who can safely shut one side of the field down at home.
Our D Line makes me nauseous. So much money invested in the line for not much production.
-
Colman is better than Worthy my a**.
-
Completely agree with this assessment.
-
Sorry. But the issue is our D Line. Pound for pound the Bills are about as talented as any D Line in the league. But can’t get consistent pressure on the QB. Just not enough speed. Also tackling yesterday was horrible.

Today I got confirmation from John's son that @John from Riverside (formerly from Hemet and VA) passed away in August from an unexpected heart attack. John was a daily mainstay in our lives here for over two decades. 47,292 posts and that's just from when we started counting in 2006 or so. He was getting ready to pack his bags and move to live with son in Oregon when he passed. Mysteriously, he last logged in March 8th. I had tried to connect with him several times per month since his disappearance, as there wasn't any public reason why he hadn't logged in. Unfortunately, we could not make contact with him or his family until the note I received today.
John was a fiercely loyal Bills fan, despite never making it to Orchard Park. We had tentative plans to get him out for this year's tailgate, when he started mentioning health issues. We never got a chance to meet.
John was an interesting guy. His deep love for the team made for some emotionally charged discussions. He never met a UDFA he didn't love, nor a ref he didn't hate and rage against their bias. His most well known story goes back to very early days of the community. The community troll (we had no moderating tools back then) liked to have fun with John given John's proclivity to emotional outbursts. This culminated in "Hogboy" challenging John to a helmet-spearing contest in a parking lot. John took this seriously and was ready to strap it on! 😂
John frequently told us about his interesting life. He was in the air force in Iraq where he often told us about his high-level security clearance and attending intelligence briefs. He was a roadie for the Scorpions. He loved his kids and always had dreams of his son making the NFL and his daughter becoming an actress/singer. We would hear about the constant shuttling of his daughter to auditions where he would name drop with best of them. IIRC, he had plenty of stories about Katy Perry, Madonna, Celine Dion, etc...
He was a great sport in the shoutbox as the guys there enjoyed ribbing on some of the peculiarities. Topics on conversation included his frequent visits to Subway on campus where he was a grad student advisor, his love of Latina women, and a rotting toe that he proclaimed grew back after disregarding his doctor's advice and he just starting running on it. 😂
Ultimately, John was a great guy who absolutely loved his kids, loved the Bills, and loved the community here. I regret we didn't make plans to meet a year earlier.
We are fortunate he decided to make his home here and he will be missed.
Go Bills!
Oh no! I loved John's posts. He was always kind to me. So informative. RIP and condolences to his family.

Ray Davis played at Vanderbilt here in Nashville. Everyone loved the kid. Never any trouble. Team captain. Super smart. But James Cook is James Cook. Davis is going to be a great change of pace.

That’s easy. He just needs to not drop sure catches. 😂

2 catches a game as a starting WR for the Chiefs with Mahomes and Andy Reid makes him a "game changer"? Feels a bit extreme.
How many does Keon have that mattered? Teams are accounting for Worthy. Nothing against Keon I like him. But honestly do we really think he isn't affecting the game in a positive way for KC? Regardless of the number of catches?
3 hours ago, zow2 said:The Bills never for a moment considered drafting Mahomes yet they still get lit up for "giving him" on a platter to Kansas City. Like it was some sort of planned move to hand KC all these Super Bowl rings. Give KC, Reid, etc. credit for moving up to take a QB no one else was drafting in that spot. I don't have anything against Worthy but i hope he flames out.
Yeah. It was reported that Peluga coveted him but our coach wanted Tre. TBH we had many needs.

And he beat his guy by like 5 yards on the crosser on 3rd down that sealed the game for them yesterday.
This 👆🏾! Last week in ATL he stopped before the first down and nearly cost them the game.
this week he did what he was supposed to. So he can definitely learn and be coached. Most importantly he *is* being coached.
The Bills can’t do for their WRs what they’re doing for their DBs.
Keon might be a game changer maybe in a year or two. Worthy is a game changer now. Even with a small sample size of 4 games.

Can we stop worrying about receivers on other teams until we get our own house fixed? Keon is going to be compared to Worthy for the rest of his career. But he's in a much better situation with a much better offensive coach. I'm more worried about KC running rings around us when it matters. Keon would also be all world if he was with Reid as opposed to Worthy. Speed kills. But our coaching does us in just fine.
And that little guy looked pretty fast and physical on that 54 yarder from Mahomes yesterday.-

A potentially stupid theory on why the Bills seem less interested in downfield speed at WR
in The Stadium Wall
Posted
Wanna hear my stupid theory?
Cause it would amplify the mistake they made in not taking Worthy and going for someone who could “outmuscle the DB in the end zone” strategy.
Somebody forgot that in order for that to happen you need to get close to or in the end zone first.
i get the rationale here about what Josh can or can’t do. But I promise you…get a Worthy type in here and have them run routes in practice until the wheels come off. With this O line and that type WR - Watch how much better Josh gets and throwing the DEEP ball.
The Raiders were right. Speed kills…
