Lol I know a handful being in my line of work.
-
He's a complete idiot and I won't want him anywhere near this team. DWI and multiple assaults.
That said, I guess we don't character anymore.
Who cares about character? I want my doctors and police officers to have character, I want Super Bowls from my football team. Not that Fred Davis can get us over that hump by any means.
The Cowboys, Ravens, Patriots and Steelers all have players that have lacked character but they have rings. I want the Bills to get rings not brownie points.

No it doesn't, kids make mistakes, I know I've made plenty, guess you've always been squeeky clean. Everyone wants to crucify him. The facts were that he was never convicted of anything. He at least deserves the chance to grow up before people start calling him names. Some are so skewed when it comes to this stuff, someone gets a DUI(which is disgusting because it puts so many lives at stake) and others will say "bad judgement, sometimes people make poor decisions" but when a teenager or very young adult gets accused of domestic violence he's an absolute scumbag. I'm not saying he's an angel, just that if the law gives him clearance then at least should get the benefit of the doubt and not be judged by people that have zero intimate knowledge. What facts? Read what is known about the case, no one is accusing him of being guilty but what actually happened speaks volumes about his character.

If I'm understanding, he was investigated for both, but not charged? That says the domestic thing could be as simple as a loud yelling match in an apartment with thin walls, and just having ****ty friends. I have to assume the Bills talked to him, and told him that **** wouldn't stand here, and told him he has one chance.
Shhhhh... Don't let facts get in the way of speculation, obviously if he's accused of something he's guilty. That's the American way man- guilty until proven otherwise. Wait...

Nick OLeary
Yes please

Why not start copying NE? They always want more TEs. Next to QB, TE is the position we have neglected the most. TEs are a QB's best friend, especially a young one. EJ had his best throws to Chandler but because he runs a 7.5 40, they were as big of plays as they could be.
To have Clay and Williams (or O'Leary later) would just provide mismatches over the field.
Big fan of O'Leary, the kid is tough. Reminds me of Chris Cooley.

I've played that a couple of times and had a blast.

He wasn't that great last year, he graded out in the bottom 10 of 87 safteys according to PFF. Maybe he'd be a better fit in Ryan's system but I'd be cautious.

Look at RBs from that draft also. Good lordWhat? There were 8 pro bowlers from that class after two years. Many are starters. Even an undrafted free agent from this draft made the pro bowl. It may have been a poor QB draft, but look at the safeties from that draft. Not a banner year, but not that bad.
Eddie Lacy
Gio Bernard
Leveon Bell
Andre Ellington
Latavius Murray
Heck even Denard Robinson and Zac Stacy were in there

Or he could move his hands apart...
I'm pretty sure they have a standard on where you place your hands in order to keep it even. Not sure on this but it would make sense
-
Ummm Squats do great things for your core. If you do them correctly and without a cheat rack your abs and lower back will get very strong
-
What kills me is he was all set for a killer job next year. He recruited a terrific class to UB and he likely could have gotten them into the Top 25. Instead he goes into an area where he has no connections for what? Money? UB alums were writing fat checks hoping to keep him here. He could have made $800K next year. Sure it's not $2MM but it's not bad to stay one more year. I guess this is the down side of being a fan of a mid-major program. UB really took a chance on Hurley. The guy had no real resume. This is our thank you. Asswipe.
What tha hell? Why do people take things like this so personally? He's making a wise career choice and getting paid better. It's not like he's even from Buffalo, he's a Jesey kid. If someone offered to pay you A LOT more to move from Buffalo to Arizona and coach in a historically better program you wouldn't do it? Lol if not then I'm guessing you're not too good at making career choices.

My wife works for the place Manziel went to, this place is hardcore, they get in your face and scream at you. It's the absolute opposite of those "Passages Malibu" BS rehabs. Hopefully it took.

Cool Link... Unfortunately, Ciano sounds like the typical Gym know-it-all that gets people hurt in their workouts.... Squats??? -Are you serious? TERRIBLE for your lower back! -Especially if you don't use a guided machine.... Bad for your knees as well.... No wonder why our guys always look like crap compared to the ripped and buff cheaters of New England..
Seriously, is it just me, or do our key players seem hurt alot, and when the are healthy, they're not as fast, and never strong enough to beat NE... Whatever program Ciano has going does not work. I always suspected the S&C program was misguided, but I wasn't sure of it until hearing this radio segment.
I hope you're joking about the squats. Maybe one of the absolute best exercises for strength, in fact squats help release some of the free testosterone in your body therefore making you overall stronger than someone that skips them. There might not be a better lift if you're looking to be a more powerful runner. Also doing them w out a smith machine or such helps with balance and builds better core strength, doing guided squts may be safer but you're cheating yourself. As far as it being bad on back and knees... Let's remember that these guys are athletes in their 20's and young 30's and every lift has potential for injury to joints and tendons if you're doing too much. Doing squats with a guided machine to prevent injury is like doing push-ups on your knees to prevent injury, great if you're a 9-5er but pathetic if you're a pro athlete.

Wilfork grew up a Bills fan, Whaley seems to like bringing people with some Buffalo ties (whether they grew up a fan like Watkins or they grew up in Buffalo like Corey Graham) on board. I think if he's willing to just be a rotational guy that this is a possibility.
-
We had a top 5 defense last year w out Kiko, I'm a huge Kiko fan but we were just fine w out him. We are heavy at LB, we are weak on O. I'm not saying I'm a huge fan of the trade but I get it.

Would love to have Stevie back.
-
I think Housler is going to come out from underneath that rock in Arizona and beast it next year. I would love to have that guy in Buffalo.
-
Next to a stud QB I'd say that a lockdown corner is the hardest position to fill in the NFL
-
Agreed. He's payed his price for the domestic violence so personally I don't factor that in but he really just wasn't much good in '13.
-
Has a strong arm and seems to be able to place the ball where only the receiver can grab it. He makes quick decisions and seems to be able to go through his progressions well enough. I've watched a few games of his and from what I can tell he's a tough kid and can take hits. But my favorite thing is that he seems willing to take chances, not scared to trust his receivers. He also started 3 years at Georga and has experience as a winner playing against tough competion.
The biggest downside I could tell was that he tends to get happy feet and he pats the ball sometimes.
Now that I think about it I'd give up a 5th or a 6th for the kid. And for the "he's a 3rd or 4th stringer" crowd. So what? KC went into the season as a SB contender, why would the Chiefs have a rookie who just came off of an ACL injury ahead of a vet in case Smith went down? Even if he was phenomenal in TC, it'd have been a huge risk.
-
I like Aaron Murray, I think he's got the potential to be a solid pro, however I can't see us giving up a pick for the guy.
-
It's probably because a hit and run is different from name-calling.
Totally agree. However a mistake is a mistake and even though a hit and run is worse than name calling that shouldn't condemn a person for the rest of his life. Lynch IS a punk, I agree but so is Incognito. They're both guys who I wouldn't hang out with but I'm in no place to judge either of them. Incognito is a maniac and has questionable character just like Lynch, the exception is that Incogitos' spill over to the field(in the form of penalties). The Incoginto supporters/Lynch dislikers seem to ignore that part and thats fine, I'm just pointing it out because I find it interesting.

image doesn't win games. And image is an opinion shared by some and not others. Many think the Seahawks, for the most part, are classless goons. Amazingly, this image that some people have of them hasn't impacted their success.
Bingo! Image is stupid simply because it's a relative term. I want a SB win not a presidential candidate.

We tried that in the Marv Levy GM era and we were terrible.
