Jones seems to be capable of catching 8 yard passes and nothing else. I'm delighted with Johnson's and Nelson's play so far, but Jones has shown nothing but dropped balls and bad positioning.
in his defense, he did have several steps on mccourty on a go route and fitz underthrew the pass.

4th and 14 was on the 35, the 4th and 1 was on our 30-something.

WRs need to fight for the ball and not let the easy picks happen.
they're rushing 3 and dropping 8. there are defenders everywhere. can't fight for the ball when 2 guys are lurking on every pass.

You mean by letting the WR get behind him for that 50 yard bomb. Our secondary is terrible. Mckelvin's instincts are probably the worst I have seen in a long time. Does not read the WR or have the agility to stay with him. I hope Williams develops because with him out there we are in serious trouble.
i'm thinking the coverage is designed that way, mckelvin underneath and wilson was supposed to be the deep cover. wilson let moore run right by him.

when talking about the raiders' running game, don't forget michael bush. he's run for 1200 yards the past 2 years (not starting most of the time)

I am reminded of Vince Wolfolk doing JP Losman's knee.....its part of the game. We don't like loosing the players....but, it happens to each team. Chan is right, these plays are when the receivers get to put it on the db's......Stevie apparently knows how to do that...good for him. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

wilfork did a superfly jimmy snooka flying elbow into losman's knee, well after the ball was released. stevie attempted to cut-block berry in the open field. two totally different scenarios.

Tebow is not a QB at all. never was. Pryor is nothing more that Jamarcus Russel 2.0, and the raiders just drafted him AGAIN!
how, besides both being black, is pryor in any way similar to jamarcus russel? russel was a fat, lazy piece of crap who didn't want to work. that's never been said about pryor.

I just that play...wow that looked like a good hit to me. Did not lead with the head, did not launch that I could tell..is the new rule such that you can not hit the reciever now while he is trying to make the catch?
Mason Foster wasn't malicious in his hit on Ochocinco. In that instance, what's he supposed to do to try and dislodge the ball from the receiver? Ridiculous.

tom brady throws a terrible pass that gets ochocinco hung out to dry. ocho gets his bell rung because of it and.... penalty on the bucs for hitting a defenseless receiver. sigh.

That the Jets didn't want to bring him back, even for a 1-year deal, should say something.
all it says is that the patriots offered more money than gang green. WAY more. all the jets had to give him was 910k, while the pats offered upwards of 4mil.

whether or not he's an upgrade from poz, (never was really impressed w/ barnett) we won't be hamstrung by a ridiculous contract for a long time and he's at least comparable in terms of production. win/win situation for us.
