1. OMG what a bunch of pantywaist skirts in this thread.

    A) Pittsburgh is going to win anyway.

    B) Even if they don't, it doesn't mean anything.  Miami has scored upset primetime opening wins in Denver/Tennessee recently and ultimately done nothing.

    C) Saban, while ridiculously overhyped based on 1 year, is about 1/10,000th as annoying as JJ.

This is true, Miami does have a tendancy to come of the gates with a few wins then taper off towrds the end off the season

  2. In 9 seasons Nate Odomes had 26 INTs for 224 yards (1 td return), 3 FR and 3 Sacks.

In FIVE seasons, Clements has 20 INT for 264 Yds (4 returned for TD, 11 Fumbles fourced, 4 recovered Fumbles, 1.5 sacks...not to mention 2 PR for TDs.

Not to mention Nate is a much better tackler and far more physical than Nate Odomes ever was.

But don't let the facts stand in your way when you're making an argument or anything.  :w00t: Odomes did great things for the Bills and was a memeber of the super bowl teams with far greater talent around him. Clements has been one of the best players on some miserable Bills teams, but if I had to chose between them, I'd tkae Clements any day of the week.

Oh, and McGee in just 3 seasons already has 9 picks, 1TD return (4 ST TDs)...if his numbers continue to improve each season as they have been, he's going to surpass Odomes sooner than you think.

Odoms also had some pressure put on the QB by a guy that went by the name of bruce smith

  3. Losmans footwork and timing seemd to be aweful under last years regime plus he never would of had to earn his spot. The new coaching staff seems to be pushing the right buttons on him- therefore if mm stayed JP would have been a dissasastrous bust, now this coaching staff has him headed to be a franchise QB

  4. Lets not forget mularkys first year, we lost the first 4 then won enough straight to play a meaningful week 17 game. The organization from top to bottom, including the support of the fans all generally thought it would be better to live through the growing pains of a young QB than to settle to be mediocre with Bledsoe. The plan was to ride our defense that ranked #2 2 consecutive years, The plan backfired with injuries to an overrated defense Forcing JP to have to win the game with a bad offensive line, this didnt work so the vets living on the end of there career got disgruntled, everything that went wrong did, Mularky was not set up to win by the GM, Which the online was the biggest problem which TD tried to address, anybody in the league would have bombed on the Mike Williams pick, watch his college highlights the guy was an animal, its just the way it goes in the NFL

  5. I'm sorry, but how does this guy make the team? I must be missing something, but he does not seem to be a viable option from the running back position. I have not noticed him as being a great special-teamer, either, This, in my opinion, is the type of player that belongs on a 3 and 13 team. Please tell me what I am missing here.

    Thanks

I agree with you, If you have two guys competing for the #2 spot wouldnt the loser fall to the #3 spot instead of keeping the guy who wasnt even in the competition for the #2 spot

  6. Chris Villariel - Damaged Goods

Anthony Smith - Team is rebuilding and will therefore keep the younger Gates and Williams

Damian Shelton - You don't bring a 2nd veteran FB into camp unless you're unhappy with the one you already have

    759585

Chris Villarial- we really cant afford to cut any lineman with starting experiance, we cut chris we dont have a backup to either guard or center since Duke preston is the 1st man in for those 3 interior spots. well most likely adress this next offseason

Anthony Smith- dont know who that is but Anthony Thomas is only 28, The coaching staff isnt just looking for a backup to Willis there looking for people who can carry the load if he goes down, Which will take Thomas and Gates. Shaud contributes the least.

Damian Shelton- You dont bring a second veteran into camp unless your first veteran has no competition and you want someone to make him work for the job and reportedly Alan Ricard hasnt preformed expect him to see the door.

  7. Considering that there is some fairly good competition for a limited number of spots, would there be an outside possibility that the Bills will only go with 2 QB's,  thus allowing another spot to open up somewhere else? (RB, WR, etc.)

If so, who goes?  Holcomb or Nall?

    759611

Holcomb has been bad this offseason, he makes our wide recievers useless because he cant throw the ball, Nall can do everything Holcomb can do plus throw the ball downfield, If we want a veteran backup we need one like Trent Dilfer, hes not the best QB in town but he plays smart and doesnt turn the ball over thats what we need. If you cant get a QB who can win games get one who wont lose them.

  8. A few years back with the addition of Vick, Mcnabb, Culpeperr, Mcnair to the league. it seemed there was an Instant craze for QBs with wheels giving bad QBS like Aaron Brooks with Quincy Carter oppurtunities to play. This seems to be a passing craze. Mcnabb became much better after he began to stay in the pocket, while I think Vick is a lost cause to stay in the pocket because he is so innacurate. From what ive read the coaches are have been improving Jp's footwork in the pocket to improve his accuracy and timing. Since the 2 best QBs in the league (Brady and Manning) are also the least likely to take off and run, Is the leagues Scrambling QB craze a past addiction?

  9. Willis wasnt willis last year, is was unhappy with the situation as werent all of us, I believe the new coaching staff has him excited so he got back to his form, JP is better and the oline has improved, When this coaching staff decides to keep feeding him the ball he will catch is rhythm and all aspects of his game will be back including the stiff arm and hurdeling defenders, Watch some of his runs from 2 years ago as opposed to last year- differant athlete

  10. Although Aiken is a special teams ace he is a big 0 as a wide reciever, he consistantly does nothing to help the passing game. With all the speed that was brought in through the draft I believe there has to be an adequate replacement for someone that covers kick offs and punts, I think he might be looked at to get the axe, Ive always thought Jonathan Smith should play more because he seems to do good things when the ball is in his hands, im hoping he stays
