1. Psssss...

Oh sure, Dick Jauron has been "a top Defensive mind for 45 years" and "working in the NFL" and may have even "actually played football".

But *I* have been hard at work sitting on my ass watching games on TV, reading the Interweb and drinking Labbat Blue's and I know this much - COY WIRE MUST NOT START!  Clearly with my background I know more than 'ol Jauronamo does  ;)

    Also, LOL @ detoxsmurf's post...

    763250

Totally envious of the Labatt Blue drinking, moved to knoxville no Blue Lights sold here for me ;)

  2. Then we're going to be run first?  And when PP comes in it's a pass?  The playbook better be more sophisticated than that.  We don't need any blatant tipoff formations ala MM style.

    762480

Im sure they'll change it up and audible too. some plays are more obvios than otheres 3rd and 10 we dont have to have PP on the field to assume where more likely to pass than run. 3rd and 1 we dont have to have josh reed on the field to assume where more likely to run

  3. Pats Fan Forum

Check it out.  Barely a mention of the Bills and not a single post about the upcoming game.  God, I hope the rest of the Patriots are doing the same.  The entire world thinks we stink.  Those players have to believe it too....just like the 2003 opener!

One of Billichecks trademarks are to take it 1 game at a time, and not overlook anybody, The pats arent overlooking us. As long as they have Billicheck the only way we will beat the patriots is by execution, no penalties, no turnovers.

  4. Fullbacks are not that high priority of a position, if shelton goes down a tight end fills in for the rest of the game, and you sign one off the list off free agents, Half way decent one arent that hard to find and the playcalling for a fullback isnt rocket science, and the pass routes are pretty simple. Depth is much more important to have elsewhere like defensive back and WR, because there are formations with 4 and 5 on the field and they are more likely to get nicked up

  5. I love the fact that Williams is starting over Anderson (who's showed nothing). The problem for me is that McCargo was brought in with a 1st rd. pick and should be in a better position to win the job. What gives with McCargo -- is he not motivated or just not good enough???

    762451

Hes your basic rookie, you cant really tell if he will be good right off the bat, Williams seems to be one of those freaks that just play well out of the gates, doesnt really matter where in the draft you pick em as long as they end up on your roster

  6. I think they're going to be used interchangably--sort of like #2A and #2B--only because Reed is an awesome run-blocker.

    762440

Good call, doesnt much matter who starts price and reed, Kelsay and Denny, Bowen and Whitner, will all be rotated in throughout the game, Since we are trying to be a run first team it makes since to start reed because he is the best blocking WR we have

  7. I think Anthony Thomas was brought in to be Willis's backup, they saw some ability in gates so allowed him to compete for the # 2 spot. Gates didnt show he was any better than thomas. Thomas having full seasons as a starter under his belt showing he can take some wear and tear and protect the football are contributing facters and probbaly a wise move

  8. Every single time the Bills had a 3rd down last year where they needed more than 5 yards, I would just wait for moorman to get on the field. It will be extremely refreshing to know that this year, it will be OK to have optimism on 3rd down.

I would have much rather paper cut my eyeballs than see Shaud " How Did I make This Team" Williams enter the field. I look for some nice McGahee involvement and deep ball strikes to extend many drives this year.

    762366

You didnt like the 3rd and 13 draw play to shaud williams

  9. Bird in the hand...

Three decent quarterbacks are a must for this team -- it looks like they are going to get hit as much as Bledsoe ever was. I am not sure Losman and Nall are up to the abuse.

As much as I don't want to see Holcomb, they might as well play the hand they were dealt.

    .

    761510

Agreed, unless we come away like bandits in the trade I see no need to trade him, we to need a backup QB and as bad as holcomb is he is probly better than anyone we can find on the market this late

  10. After Holcombs offseason preformance its hard to believe anyone wants him on there team let alone starting, Kings writing efforts are primarily focuse around the teams who are percieved to be contenders this year, he just fills in the blanks for teams who are subpar going into the season. Our veterans have to many personal issues to worry about. Vincent needs to worry about how old and slow he has gotten, Clements needs to worry about not being so horrrible this year. Spikes needs to worry that that injury didnt ruin is high rate of play. Ived said it before with Peter King garbage, if you want some straight forward info on the Buffalo Bills from a nation wide reporter you got to go with ESPN's chris Berman because Nobody Circles the Wagons like the Buffalo Bills!!!

  11. Murph used the same line on the broadcast Thursday night---you should be in broadcasting...

You will appreciate DiGiorgio's myspace page--check out Renee....Our new LB

Seems like a great kid--..wonder how many NFL teams have ever had a division III starter at MLB and a Division II back-up.

    760078

We have a Division 3 starter in London Fletcher

  12. These Coaches watch so much tape and breakdown there breakdowns of players and plays, they probly know when each other has to take a sh--. Frddie left a week before the pats game Milloy came like two days before, the bills havent practiced since there game with the giants, freddie should know notta about the gameplan for the pats game as monday they should implement that.

  13. OMG what a bunch of pantywaist skirts in this thread.

    A) Pittsburgh is going to win anyway.

    B) Even if they don't, it doesn't mean anything.  Miami has scored upset primetime opening wins in Denver/Tennessee recently and ultimately done nothing.

    C) Saban, while ridiculously overhyped based on 1 year, is about 1/10,000th as annoying as JJ.

    760981

This is true, Miami does have a tendancy to come of the gates with a few wins then taper off towrds the end off the season

  14. In 9 seasons Nate Odomes had 26 INTs for 224 yards (1 td return), 3 FR and 3 Sacks.

In FIVE seasons, Clements has 20 INT for 264 Yds (4 returned for TD, 11 Fumbles fourced, 4 recovered Fumbles, 1.5 sacks...not to mention 2 PR for TDs.

Not to mention Nate is a much better tackler and far more physical than Nate Odomes ever was.

But don't let the facts stand in your way when you're making an argument or anything.  :w00t: Odomes did great things for the Bills and was a memeber of the super bowl teams with far greater talent around him. Clements has been one of the best players on some miserable Bills teams, but if I had to chose between them, I'd tkae Clements any day of the week.

Oh, and McGee in just 3 seasons already has 9 picks, 1TD return (4 ST TDs)...if his numbers continue to improve each season as they have been, he's going to surpass Odomes sooner than you think.

    761208

Odoms also had some pressure put on the QB by a guy that went by the name of bruce smith
